This is an absolutely fantastic experience (sunset/Bioluminescence.). The guides were awesome, very helpful and engaging. My only suggestion is that it could be shorter... 7:30-10:30 was a LONG time. Also, it could start at 7p, I would have enjoyed just a bit more daylight time. Really interesting wildlife (birds, seals and even porpoise!) and definitely worth your time. I appreciated the pre trip phone call - wear layers (it got COLD), bring a hat (I brought gloves too), and a head lamp (it was DARK!). Sunset was amazing and the bioluminescence was fascinating.

Can't wait to visit here! I've never personally been, but my wife visited in Spring of 2022. She grew up in Washington state and used to go to the park as a child. It was one of her first stops on her trip. She purchased a tumbler from the Lake Store which mysteriously "disappeared" at her work. Carol at the Lake Store went above and beyond in helping me identify and purchase an identical tumbler for my wife. That was through email, with a 3 hour time difference between WA and NC. It blew my mind her helpfulness! I can't brag on the staff at Deception Pass enough! We will be back to visit our kin in WA and Deception Pass will be our first stop!

There is so much to explore at Deception Pass. It's great for day trips but you could easily spend a few days trekking the area. The towering trees that surround the hills, spits and waters are incredible to marvel at. ๐ฒโฐ๏ธ๐ The trails here are well maintained and I love the woodsy old signs. ๐ฅพ๐ชต

Fun for everyone! Bowman Bay has great scenery and trails ranging from flat ground to uphill dirt, secret cliff lookouts, long beaches, grass hillsides above the ocean and more. It can be quite windy so bring a layer (even if sunny) and your sunscreen as many areas are exposed to the sun. You can find plenty of shade however. As of 5/20/22 the main dock is still closed to renovations. Bring your discovery pass or pay $10/day to park.

Honestly, I thought it was a pretty nice place. Sorry that I can't say much more than that, I was kinda distracted by all of my cousins on my dads side of the family. Been a long time since we've all been together that way. It was a really nice visit!

Beautiful state park with thriving wildlife. It offers camping, hiking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, picnic. Stunning views and picture opportunities. The bridge is walkable, make sure to take a walk across. Currents can be very fast flowing in opposite directions that makes large whirlpools. Very busy on weekends

We didn't have nearly enough time to really enjoy the park, and this early in the season concessions like the kayaks weren't operating and the temperatures were too cold to swim. But the beach was just gorgeous and the rest-rooms were clean. We saw quite a few folks fishing in the area, but don't know what they used for bait (or how successful they were.) Definitely worth checking-out, I imagine this park gets pretty busy in the summer!
