Our 3rd RV in our road trip back in October. This place on first impression was not high as it did look very rural and very different to the larger and more established mega camprounds we had previously visited. However, waking up by the river was a delight, so incredibly peaceful. The restroom/shower were probably my favorite of all the campgrounds we visited on our 2 week road trip as I liked it when the toilet is together with the shower. I like that there was a bench, a chair. So plenty of ways to put your things down and not on the ground. Heating was always on even at the lowest temperature it was great and they had a sign to ensure guests did not turn it off completely. The night we stayed winds were high and there was a wind warning actually announced. Being by the river, it felt concerning but this is probably because I had not ever stayed in a truck camper before therefore unsure what to expect. We did not blow over. In ther morning we could see some bench chairs had toppled over but they were not cemented to the ground so all good. No wind damage to the truck either. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This was our last campground stop on our way to meet our kids in Missoula. We traveled for 13 days from VT experiencing many different campground accommodations. I have to say, this stop was a great choice, friendly staff, very accommodating and great amenities we did not have at other campgrounds. We even enjoyed a movie at the local theater in town because it had the same name as our theater back home. Thanks for a great experience on our road trip.

Super friendly nice staff. When we called we stated we wanted to fish. The river is super low and covered in moss so every cast we had to clean moss off. Mosquitoes were the worst I have ever seen anywhere (been to over 40 states). The Wi-Fi is spotty at best. The showers are either freezing cold or only hot and if the bathroom next to you flushed (cold water) you’re burned. Two washers and two dryers are shared for all campers. Overall out of our twelve days on the road this trip this is the only low review I have given. If we did not want to fish or shower there or use laundry it would have been a beautiful spot. Again the staff are great people, just not the campground.

Just a hop skip from town. Great night there on our trek home. Very accommodating and friendly. Mike greeted us and got us settled right in for the night. Staff were super friendly. Great and quiet spot on the river. Will definitely keep them on the list for longer term stays.

One of the top two campgrounds we have stayed at in our 30 days of traveling. We found this campground in Deer Lodge, MT because my wife wanted to visit the prison. We were greated by Mike, the owner of A-OK once we checked in. One of the nicest and most humble people we have met in our travels. He was so helpful and was full of knowledge on the area. The campground and facilities were awesome. So nice to have an actual bathroom to yourself! Everything was super clean and welcoming. We decided to stay an extra night due to how welcoming and relaxing the campground and town are!

New owner. Nice and clean. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Big rig friendly. Walking distance to town. Quiet. Dog and children friendly. Nice laundry.

While Mike (owner) is an extremely nice guy, the campground is not meant for big rigs. We could reach out and touch or neighbor. No place for a table or sitting outside. Surroundings leave a lot to be desired.

New owners have the place well groomed. Friendly helpful welcome. Good location by river and in town. Reservations helpful.

A beautiful hidden gem! Absolutely the best place to stop. The river sites are just lovely, the bathrooms and showers are clean, and the wildlife is great. In less than 24 hours of being here, we've seen osprey, a river otter, fish, so many different birds, a crane, and a bunch of deer. Mike, the owner, is so personable and helpful, just a really nice guy.

Awesome place under new management. Formerly the KOA, now the A-OK! 3 Great Danes, well 2 Great Danes and 1 puppy that thinks she is a Great Dane. They think this place is A-OK. We will be back.
