We stopped in for an overnight. Scott signed us in and they had a pull through site for us. Scott escorted us to #31. The pool is not open yet, but it looks lovely. There is a small mini gulf, swings, a basketball hoop. There is a store in the office. The owners of the campground made us feel welcome and made sure we were set up without issues. The campground is quiet and respectful. I didn't get to meet any of the cats that are on property. They must be shy. We had a neighbor with a puppy. Her puppy was precious. We are passing through to Casey ill and then on to st lewis, I'm glad we contacted this campground to get a good night sleep on our adventures. I would stop here again if we drive this route in the future. Thanks for having us.

Let’s start by saying I was just a visiting guest. Immediately upon arrival, a man (who I’m assuming is the owner) ran up to my vehicle, did not greet me kindly, and started by interrogating me as to why I was there. I stated I was only visiting family for the trick or treat event. The man then tells me very rudely and in an abrasive way, that I will need to get out of the way and go inside to talk to his wife about a guest pass. Once inside, the wife was also very rude. Asking what I considered to be questions she did not need the answers to. Even asking for my license plate number. This was after stating why we were there and how long our intended visit would last. She charged me $6 for four people. My family that arrived later was charged $10 for the same guest pass. While other family told us that they were charged $2 for the both of them. Overall, the campground is a nice wooded area. But the service and groundskeeper were more than disrespectful and I am happy to say I will not be going back any time soon.

Great overnight stop. We camped on trip to and back from DC. Nice owners. Nicely maintained. Close to highway. We had a short travel day and the Owner suggested visiting a great museum in town. Very nice!

About 3 minutes off the interstate lies this quiet, friendly and clean campground. The staff was more than helpful and willing to accommodate. We have 2 dogs that had plenty of room to walk and play. Our children enjoyed the mini golf and friendliness of the staff. We didn’t get to use the pool due to timing but looked extra clean and accommodating. We stayed for a quick night en-route to the East coast and would stay here again. Not far from the KOA, which I’m sure is just as nice, but for all we needed this campground was 30$ cheaper. Perfect spot to stop. Thanks for a great quick stay.

I have been on a major move with my dog & cat. I have 9 hours left to go till I arrive but was exhausted after over 3000 miles through major storms, and solo driving. Found this part of country shuts down rv camping... sigh. Made one more call out. These wonderful people opened their camp on Christmas eve to me. I am getting much needed rest! God bless them.

The owners of the resort were very accommodating. We were looking for a place to stay on our way through Indiana and they were able to reserve a spot for our travel trailer without a deposit. We got slowed down by some construction and ended up arriving a little past closing and Pat stayed up so we could get our spot. We got all checked in and a gentleman that worked at the resort showed us to our spot and even offered to help us level out our camper. The hospitality here was awesome and it was such a well taken care of resort. We almost stayed at a rest area but thankfully we found Deer Ridge and we were able to rest easy knowing we were in a safe, quiet campground. Even though we only stopped passing through, it’s a spot I’d camp all week at and I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Love this place! The people who run it are awesome too.

We just needed a nice, quiet dock for the night and this was spot on! Thankfully convenient access from the interstate and effortless check-in had us relaxing in a jiffy. Full hook up put it over the top. Veteran friendly and quiet, country atmosphere with a touch of fun, yep - this place gets a thumbs up and a must stop when traveling this way.

Could probably have 5 stars if Scott dealt with all of the campers instead of his wife Pat!
