Normally a great place to gonfor a sqim, walk or picnic. Thisbyear witht eh drouit was a very surreal experience walking around a dried up lake. The north side was dried up while the south side to the damn had some water left.

We stayed one night at Delta Lake State Park on our way through the area, and it was such a refreshing experience. The park is clean, peaceful, and well-maintained, with beautiful scenery and easy access to the water. Our site was comfortable and quiet exactly what we needed for a relaxing overnight. We’ll definitely be booking a waterfront site in the future to make the most of the views and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back for a longer stay!

Delta Lake State Park is a great place to go camping or hangout at the beach. The campsites are spacious and private. They have waterfront sites which are awesome but very hard to get. The beach is sandy but it gets rocky after a few feet in the water. They also did a movie on the beach on Friday night which the kids enjoyed.

Delta Lake is one of my favorite beaches in the area. There is plenty of beach space, picnic tables in the shade on either side of the concession building and bathrooms. The playground is pretty large as well. Usually more than one swimming area is open, making for a less crowded dip! The wading area is a little rocky, my kids just wear water shoes.

This is the best option for lakeside camping with some degree of privacy between sites and also electric hookups. It's difficult to grab a site as the first open for booking but you can occasionally find one that someone has cancelled if you're diligent in checking. If you prefer a nearby shower facility, know that it is a separate building located between loops B and C. Each loop has at least one or two bathrooms with wash sinks. Fun Park for bike riding inside the camping loops, as well as to the numerous picnic areas, the beach and the boat launch - trails are wide and wood chipped, suitable for mountain bikes and pedestrians. Very dog friendly, but must be on leashes and provide rabies certificates at check in. On our favorites list, for sure. Photos from Site A22.

My best friend lives in Rome and we stop here everytime I visit. Cannot get over the trails, playgrounds, beach, and places to grill. Offers camping, RV parking, and cabins when reserved ahead. Beautiful to visit.

Park close to my home, it's like having acres of water front property without paying for it 😉 very clean, almost no trash anywhere and several trails. Easy walking.

Visited in November when most of the leaves had turned and fallen but it was very beautiful and quiet there. Saw many people walking their pets and enjoying the scenery.

non-wheelchair accessible restrooms within the individual loops of the campgrounds. Most of the lots are not tent compatible. The camping area consists of three loops, with only one shower house, which is not centrally located. The shower house is the only location within the camp area that has handicapped-accessible restrooms. The only other handicapped-accessible restrooms are down at the Beach House.

Not a fan of how rocky and packed it is
