As a combined community for long-term residents and short-term travelers, it provides a sense of stability and a relaxed pace of life. Travelers looking for a no-frills stopover will find the park serves as a functional base for exploring the unique cultural landscape of Leflore County without the distractions of a busy resort.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in the small town of Sidon, just south of Greenwood, the park is surrounded by the vast, flat agricultural lands characteristic of the region. The rural landscape provides wide-open skies and a peaceful atmosphere. It is conveniently located near Highway 49E, making it an accessible point for those journeying through the historic Delta region, where cotton fields and winding bayous define the scenery.
Amenities & Park Features
The park focuses on essential utilities to ensure a comfortable stay for its guests. Visitors have access to full hookups, including water, sewer, and electrical connections that support modern RV needs. The layout is designed to accommodate both mobile homes and various RV sizes, featuring level parking spots that simplify the setup process for late-night arrivals. While the park emphasizes a simple lifestyle, the presence of long-term neighbors creates a settled environment.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Staying in Sidon puts you a short drive away from the Blues Heritage sites in nearby Greenwood. Visitors often explore the legendary grave of Robert Johnson or take a tour of the historic architecture found throughout the downtown district. The Yazoo River offers opportunities for fishing and photography, while local diners in the area provide a taste of authentic Southern soul food and the famous Delta tamales.
Who This Park Is Best For
This park is ideal for self-contained travelers who prioritize a quiet, budget-friendly place to park while exploring local history. It is particularly well-suited for workers on temporary assignment in Leflore County or road trippers seeking an authentic, unpolished experience of Mississippi life. Now it’s under new management. Sandra Santos and her husband has an awesome job at rebuilding and making this place a beautiful campground/mobile home park during my stay there many years ago I became great friends with Sandra and her family and her children and to this day, six years ago, we are still in contact and became great friends.
