We drove up from the Tuscaloosa area, which is about an hour and a half. Overall, the Caverns Park was clean, welcoming, and family-friendly. We booked Campsite #1, which looked nice from a distance but was very uneven and made leveling our camper difficult. Campsites 1–3 are positioned in a straight line, and Site 1 in particular is not level at all. I do not recommend booking Campsite #1 for that reason. The biggest disappointment was the bathhouse. The bathrooms and showers were unfortunately not well-maintained the ceilings had visible mold, and the showers appeared as though they hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time. One of the restrooms also had a strong urine odor. While I didn’t expect perfection, the overall condition was below expectations. Most of the park’s activities seemed geared toward younger children, roughly ages 5–12, so there wasn’t much offered for older kids or adults. That said, we really enjoyed our cavern tour with our guide, Roman, and the light show inside the caverns was a great addition. It was a fun and educational experience with some fascinating history definitely the highlight of our visit.

At a constant 60° year round, Majestic Caverns offers a comfortable and beautiful underground experience. Our tour guide Davis was very friendly and knowledgeable about the cavern and it's rich history. They kindly allow photos to be taken, and I only wanted to post a couple so not to spoil the experience for others. The laser light show at the end is not to be missed! There were other attractions on-site but due to our schedule we chose to only do the caverns. There was plenty of parking and the park featured an amazing gift shop. There are clean bathrooms available, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We went on a Sunday and it was like a ghost town. So if you're not a fan of crowds this is the day to go. We went years ago when it was called DeSoto Caverns and the light show was great this was mediocre and considering the tickets cost it was over priced at $30+ per person. My son paid over 30 for 4 of us to do the panning for gems. And that was ok - we all came away with a few to take home.

The guided cavern tour was awesome. Atticus was our guide and did a great job and answered all of my kids questions. It was a great time. My boys ages 8, 6, 3 loved the attractions. The park was not very busy on the day we visited and all the employees helped to make our day fun. Judah was awesome to our boys and helped us on a number of attractions. The older boys favorite was the cave crawl box. We are definitely planning to go back around Christmas for their event. Final note the place was super clean.

We camped here for two nights—Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, the attraction area was quite busy, but by Sunday, it had quieted down considerably. The campground bathrooms had air conditioning, which was a nice bonus. Though a bit dated, they were otherwise pleasant. The campground itself wasn’t crowded—only one other camper was there during our stay. We booked site 16 for our 30' camper, and it was a tight fit due to the fence and trees. Maneuvering in was a challenge; most other sites seemed easier to access. Sites 1 through 3 are in a straight line, so if you’re considering site 2, it’s best to coordinate with someone else booking the adjacent sites, especially if you plan to leave on the same day. Overall, the attractions were fun for families and we had a great time!

I love this beautiful cave but our recent visit was lacking. The cave tour is pricey and the kid doing the tour did not know the script of historic facts and kept making "jokes", his word, that no one got but him. Actually, no one got anything this kid said. The laser light show at the end will never disappoint. It's beautiful and most of all, no one talking. There's a nice splash pad, putt putt, and other games. We purchased tickets to ride the train for the posted time of 3:30. No one ever showed so my children were very disappointed. In my opinion, it just was not worth the prices they are charging.

This park is definitely worth the drive and money! The cave, light show and tour was AMAZING! Our tour guide (Ethan) was the BOMB!!!! He is definitely good at what he does and he’s HILARIOUS!! You can tell he really enjoys it! There’s a lot of activities for the whole family! I’m looking forward to coming back! It was a day well spent!!!

The entire park is absolutely beautiful and inviting. There's so much around to explore and walk to. All of the attractions are very family friendly. The tour itself is amazing. My tour guide, Conner, showed us the cave and expressed great joy for the cave and park alike. Definitely will be coming back all this summer since they're always changing and adding things to the park. I greatly enjoyed looking at the koi fish and observing all the different plant varieties they have growing around the park. This is a great place to get away for the day.

Pros: I absolutely loved the cave. It is beautiful and our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Con: THE COST! This is extremely overpriced! We went to buy "bands" that you have to have to enter the area. There are 3 different bands. I did not know the difference in the "bands" and the gal who rung us up didn't ask or give options. We paid almost 200 for our family. We thought we were set for all the fun things and to see the cave. Wrong! That bought us a one hour cave tour. That was it. We would have had to spent another $180 to experience the other things. Very disappointed because we were excited to finally get to explore. They need to come down on prices, and educate their employees to explain a little about options. We would not have paid that amount for a cave tour only, if we would have known.

I will start off by saying 4 stars due to price point and could be updated in some activities. Other than that you will absolutely be able to fill up a few hours here between the playground, cavern tour, splash pad, ball pit, maze, and train rides. Nathan was a very fun and knowledge tour guide. The caverns are stunning and the light show was neat. Memorable for sure.
