Huge sites that are widely separated and isolated, though a few were close together for group camping. Most of the sites have lake views. The vault toilets were in good condition. Very easy to get to with paved road the entire way there from Grand Marais; around 20 minutes(?). It was open in November 2025, though I doubt there was any water available.

Great sites, primitive campground, not far from Grand Marais. The premium sites are on the lake with Lake Access. Plenty of room at each site. Privacy. There is access to pit toilets, trash disposal and drinking water. I didn’t have cell reception.

This is a great lake campsite! Kind of halfway between Temperance in Falls and grand Marais stuff. Very secluded, you marry not get service out here, but it does have bathrooms, and most of the campsites have use of the lake! But pretty much all campsites in this area are so beautiful

Nice big sites. Very private. I was here the last week of June and the sites weren't full Tuesday through Saturday morning. A little bit of a drive to Grand Marais. I've been into the outdoors my whole life. I take about 5 or 6 camping trips a year. The mosquitoes here are the worst I've ever seen in my life. They were relentless. A thermacell, fogger, citronella candle, and deepwoods off made them manageable in my site. Filling up with water another level of insanity. They need to spray out here.

We arrived on Monday and all the lake side sites had valid tags on them but the people and campers didn't show up for many hours. If these sites are not reservable than what did we see?

Awesome primitive campground on a beautiful lake. Real camping where you truly get away from it all.

Very well kept campground with sites right on the lake. Each lake site got a little slice of beach front. Bathrooms are very dark...wear a head lamp
