Dinosaur Natl Mon/Gates Of Lodore
The Gates of Lodore Dinosaur National Monument is a stunningly beautiful area located in the northwest corner of Colorado and the northeast corner of Utah. It is home to some of the most spectacular dinosaur fossils in the world, as well as a variety of other geological and archaeological wonders. The monument is named after the Gates of Lodore, a series of rapids on the Green River that were named by explorer John Wesley Powell in 1869.
