Dolores River Campground & Cabins

While the booking process was easy, be wary of their cancellation policy. They disclose a $20 non-refundable fee, but fail to clearly highlight that credit card processing fees are also non-refundable. Canceling ended up costing me $42 total. I wish these 'extra' fees were transparently disclosed upfront rather than buried in the fine print.

Beautiful place along the river. Facilities included showers, bathrooms, laundry room. And they are pet friendly. Only 1 down side - no fenced dog play area.

This is by far one of the best places we have stayed. We were originally only going to stay for 2 days and ended up adding 2 more days because we loved it here. The pond and river walk are so peaceful, the staff is top notch, we loved Sue's humor and making us feel at home and Teris kindness and fun attitude. We hope to return.

May 22, 2026. Very nice property and VERY WELL MAINTAINED! Super clean restrooms and showers. Good connectivity on Wi-Fi. Tall trees all over property for cool nights. Sites on and off Delores River. Road noise never an issue, in fact, never heard any! First time for the area, and definitely will come back!

We took our family of 7 here and had the best time! There was a mixup on the booking no fault of the campground and they took care of us anyway with a great upgrade. We will stay here again!

This is one of the cleanest campgrounds my family has stayed in. The bathrooms and showers were always in prístine condition and always with toilet paper. The camp hosts are always going around making sure everything is okay. The location is beautiful! Right by Dolores river so you can sleep with the sound of water flowing through. We didn’t talk much with the hosts but the few words we had with them, they seemed friendly. We will be going back for sure to enjoy the grounds. This time we camped in a tent but a host let me look at one of the yurts and it looked great inside, even had a mini fridge and looks over the river as well. Their rec center looked amazing, great selection of dvds and board games.

Spent the labor day weekend here as a convenient spot to travel to Telluride and surrounding area. Campground is really clean. Has big rig friendly spots and sits right by the river. Has good amenities but no fire rings at campsites. Everyone was friendly. Very dog friendly. Was able to eat at a few of the local eateries with outdoor seating for our pup which was appreciated so we didnt have to leave her in the rig.

We loved this RV campground! The sites are not right on top of each other so there's a little breathing room, and they're pretty level. The bathrooms and showers were *immaculate*. Very kid and dog friendly. My kiddos enjoyed the playground and River trail. It's also a great location to check out the entire Cortez-Delores-Mancos area along w Mesa Verde. We would totally come back to this campground.

My fiance and I had a great first ever camping experience with Dolores RV resort! Everything worked, the lots were nice and even. Easy to back into and we had absolutely no issues or disturbances. We will be back!

Clean shower house. Quiet campground. Dog friendly trail. Beautiful river access. We stayed in our travel trailer, but there are a variety of lodging options. The wagons looked cool! Was totally worth the short detour while visiting Mesa Verde.

Dolores is wonderful little town and Dolores River RV is a great place to stay. We stayed in the Leola Hyde W Cabin, it served 3 of us very well and fully stocked with everything we needed. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. The park was clean and well kept, all our fellow campers were also kind and friendly. The river is an amazing bonus and the fishing is good. This is a perfect location to visit Telluride, Mesa Verde, The Four Corners, Monument Valley and so much more. A great mix of the rocky mountains and dessert southwest all in one great location.

We camped there in a trailer. They had cabins, yurts, and tent sites. They were right on the water- the kids could play in the river. The bathrooms were beautiful! Newly remodeled and clean. The wifi worked great, no cable. The location is close to town.

This is a wonderful campground. The location along the Dolores river in sublime. The manager Terry is a very professional, generous, and accommodating soul that has a clear understanding of excellent customer service. I can't wait to go back someday.

I really loved how close to river we were and how clean the cabin and restrooms were. It was a quite, serene, and picturesque camp site.

The staff at Dolores River RV Resort are the best and just overall fantastic. Terry, the Manager, was so personable and professional that it was beyond amazing. She went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable and memorable that we will always stay there and tell all of our friends how great this RV Campground/Resort presents. We have made reservations there in July, August and September, not only that it is beautiful location, but because Terry and the Staff make this campground/resort such a comfortable, friendly and clean place to park our RV and explore the beautiful Colorado “Rockies”.
