I’ve been staying at Double J Campground for a little over a month, and honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. The owners and staff are super friendly. The sites are huge, which is such a nice change from many other campgrounds. Most sites have concrete patios and built in fire pits. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and perfectly maintained, you can tell a lot of care and pride goes into keeping everything clean and inviting. The facilities are top-notch, too: spotless bathrooms, convenient laundry, and everything in great working order. It’s clear that the team here truly loves what they do, and it shows in every detail. There’s a nice Route 66 themed mini golf, a pool (nice size, for a campground it’s on the larger side), a peddle cart track, disc golf, r recreation area (volleyball, giant chess, etc), a nice walking trail, giant two section dog park, and two separate shower rooms (one at the front of the park, one towards the back). Other campers have been pretty friendly, and it’s generally nice a quiet.

What a great place to stay. The lady at check-in was really helpful, and moved us from the allotted site to a larger site near the office and gave us the Good Sam's discount with our membership. Her husband was so welcoming and helpful taking us to the site. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra day. The site was level and clean. It was so wonderful to have a 50 amp pull through with full hookups for our rig and toad. Already recommending it to family. A great experience. Thank you.

We stayed at the Double J Campground for 4 days. Great place! Well maintained, shaded spots, areas to walk yourself and your dog! Lots to do for kids. We stayed in spot 62 which was a nice location, near the laundry, pool, dog walk and office. I did not check out any of the facilities except the store/office which is well stocked. Friendly and helpful staff. We had to load up on propane for our motorhome and that was easily done. They have a full size propane tank on site. Additional parking if you have a boat trailer or similar. Pea like gravel lots and road. My dog did not like this but we survived. You can hear the interstate noise but it did not bother me. Great location, about 15 minutes from downtown Springfield.

Extremely nice campground. Very well maintained. Employees are friendly and helpful. Campsites are roomy and pretty much at a flat level for easy setup. They have fun activities for people to do at any age. We will definitely be back again.

I really enjoyed this park and it feels like a hidden gem! The campgrounds were so well taken care of. The pool was lovely and the temp for these hot summer days is perfect. There are tons of activities for kids and the whole park is very kid friendly. It's also dog friendly. Their dog park was very well taken care of and I love that there is a small dog size and a large dog side, clean up stations throughout the park and there was also someone going around maintaining the grounds. I loved that you needed a pass to get it. It made it feel safer and more secure. The store was nice, as were the facilities. The full hook ups made it a breeze for setup and we wished we could have extended our stay. There are really only two drawbacks. The first was the size of the lots. They were really really close together. It could have been the site we had, as it did look like some sites were larger. It really felt like you were on top of each other with how close the sites were. The other is the highway. It makes it nice for those traveling through, and once we were in our RV, we couldn't tell but if you were outside in the evening enjoying the night, the highway noise was very noticeable.

This is our first stay here at Double J. We've driven by many times on our way to Florida and have said, "we should stay there next time!" While planning our route home we remembered to make this a stop. Boy are we glad we finally did! We will stop here again anytime we are in the area with our RV. Excellent clean resort with pleasant and personable staff. You deserve more than a 5 star rating!!! Thank you for being open year around. See you again soon! The Schack's

Such a lovely park. Sites are pretty level with gravel. I was super impressed with the trimming of the trees having a larger rig. Everything was clean, owners are very nice and helpful. This is a great park and will definitely come again.

Owners that care about a park and it shows. What a gem. It had a little of everything, dog park, dog runs, fhu sites, fire rings, game room, tent sites, outdoor chess and checkers, playgrounds, mini golf, pedal karts, swimming pool, volleyball, shower house, propane, walking trails and laundry. I may ha e missed a few amenities, but it is a very nice park. There are trees throughout that will give shade on those warm summer days. It is close to major attractions in Springfield. We will definitely stay here again when we pass through the area.

Nice RV park with full hook ups, grass sites, store on site, laundry, pool (seasonal) volleyball, giant chess, mini golf, pedal cars, bathrooms and showers. We stayed here a week enjoyed our stay. Close to interstate. Nice owners and employees. Facilities are clean and well maintained, wirh a fire ring and picnic table.The owners take care and maintain the sites well. Dog park for the pups is a plus as well. Be sure to stop in the office/store and check out the handmade cards the owners daughter makes. I ended up buying 1 then went back for 3 more. She has got talent and really put some thought into the cards.

The campground is VERY nice. All pull-through sites with FHU. The park is very well maintained. The only drawback is that the people who work in the office are definitely less than welcoming. The lady seemed miserable. The girl never speaks and the man seems like he is preoccupied all the time. Together, they don't make a great face for what is otherwise a great campground.

It had been 10 years or more since we'd been here. It was always clean and very well thought out and maintained. We were surprised at house much it had grown and how it was even cleaner! We didn't think that was possible! Highly recommend a stay here!

Great campground that is extremely well maintained. The camp store as a nice selection of parts and items for your RV. One of the biggest I have seen. Kids enjoyed the mini golf. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic young couple just bought this place! Lots of renovations happening... they were great hosts. Pull through spaces with lots of room. LP available. I highly recommend this Campground for a quick stop or longer term!

Lovely spacious campground. Has everything including attentive owners We stayed mid March. Very level gravel with fulll hookups. There are sections with heated water. Our section had just been turned on for the spring. We saw a large super fun playground equipment. It’s very pet friendly. The inground pool was closed in March it is Illinois after all
