Overview
Downstream Q Store RV Park provides a highly functional and well-maintained environment for travelers navigating the tristate region. Located on the border of Missouri and Oklahoma, this park is operated by the Quapaw Nation and serves as a primary choice for visitors to the Joplin area. It offers a secure and convenient setting that balances the needs of long-haul drivers with those visiting for local entertainment. The park is characterized by its clean layout and professional management, ensuring a seamless experience for those looking for a high-quality stopover.
Location & Surroundings
The park's location is its greatest asset, situated just a short drive from Joplin, MO, at the crossroads of three states. It is positioned adjacent to a large convenience center, ensuring that guests have immediate access to fuel, supplies, and propane right at their doorstep. The surrounding landscape offers a mix of open plains and distant wooded horizons, providing a sense of space while remaining close to major transportation corridors like Interstate 44. This makes it an ideal waypoint for those traveling between the Midwest and the Southwest.
Amenities & Park Features
Each site at the park is designed for convenience, featuring full hookups including water, sewer, and high-capacity electrical connections. The oversized concrete pads are a standout feature, offering a level and stable surface for any size vehicle. Guests have access to the following amenities:
- 30 and 50-amp electrical service at every site
- Clean shower and restroom facilities located at the Q-Store
- Dedicated 24-hour shuttle service to the casino resort
- On-site diesel fuel, propane, and grocery essentials
The park is well-lit and monitored by security, providing peace of mind for those arriving late or staying for several nights.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Beyond the immediate pull of the Downstream Casino Resort, the Joplin area offers a wealth of activities. Nature lovers can visit the Wildcat Glades Conservation & Outdoor Center or take a short trip to see the impressive Grand Falls, the largest natural waterfall in Missouri. History buffs will enjoy exploring the historic Route 66 landmarks that dot the local region. For those interested in local culture, the Joplin Empire District Electric Company Dam and various local parks provide peaceful spots for afternoon strolls and photography.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is best suited for transit-oriented travelers who value ease of access and high-quality infrastructure over a rustic camping experience. It is particularly popular with casino-goers who want a comfortable place to stay while enjoying the resort lifestyle nearby. Because the sites are paved and spacious, it is an excellent fit for big-rig owners who need a reliable stop with plenty of maneuvering room and dependable utility hookups for their modern motorhomes or fifth wheels.

We went here to get some items that we had forgotten to pack, such as hair spray. They did not have it. It was more of a gift shop and not a convenience store. The prices were extremely high. The service was good. If you're looking for trinkets to remember your trip, then this us your store.
Cheesy Coffee
Awesome selection inside for snack and drink options. It is an easily accessed gas station for fueling up before going to my favorite rivers too.

This is our regular stop when going anywhere on I-44 East from OKC. The prices are really good. There's room to get out & move around. There's a great selection of food & drinks. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is friendly & helpful no matter what time of day or night! Well be stopping in again on our next trip, I'm sure.

Now, this is one nice convenience store. Conveniently located across from Downstream Casino. Which i believe actually owns this store. Clean rest rooms!
