Santa Rava

This campground could be great, but the way it's run is incredibly disappointing. We made an RV reservation eight months in advance, spoke directly with the owner at the time, and yet when we arrived—no reservation was found. Our reserved spot had been given to someone else. While speaking with other campers, we learned this isn't a one-off issue—it happens regularly. The owner takes bookings, but there's no guarantee your spot will actually be held. It's a shady and unreliable way to manage a campground. Thankfully, a young woman working there was very helpful and managed to find us a place by asking the owner to move her own rig. Still, the owner never came to apologize or acknowledge the mistake. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews carefully before committing to this campground—you could end up without a spot and nowhere to go. The young girl on duty that day should have been a manager and taking bookings.

We are from out of town driving down US Hwy 287 when we decided to pull off the road to take care of our kids in the back seat. We accidentally pulled off too far and got stuck in the snow. The Driftwaters Resort were within site so we gave them a call. The personnel were extremely friendly and came to our rescue to be pulled out. We are extremely grateful for their help!

We stayed at Driftwaters Resort for 8 days and very much enjoyed it! The staff was extremely helpful and full of knowledge and accommodating. So much to do in the area. The room was clean as well as shower house/bathroom area! We were provided clean towels, washrags, and shower mats as needed too.

We booked the “Rec Room” (multiple beds and private room) 2 months in advance of our trip. When we showed up Rachel the owner said they had someone staying in the Rec room so she threw us in a musty old camper that was very uncomfortable. She did not apologize and did not offer a refund for the nice room we paid for. I told her we needed our money back which she then agreed to but she was very rude. I would recommend any other camp ground in Cameron or West Yellowstone over Driftwaters.

The customer service was excellent. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We arrived from West Yellowstone with no notice and very unprepared. They offered to get us the groceries we needed which allowed us to fish the Madison that evening instead of driving all’s the way to Ennis! Pretty incredible. The location is ideal for fishing the Madison, they are just a 10 minute drive up or down the highway to the many state fishing access sites and are smack in the middle of the “wade only” section. They are very dog friendly and very accommodating. They even have fish shaped wader hooks outside the door! 10/10 would go again.

Driftwaters was the perfect base camp for West Yellowstone. Between the prices, hospitality and clean facilities, it’s hard to beat. They even have a little restaurant on the property that has live music on weekends. Cutest little place, would stay there again.

4.5 Cost: good deal ( much cheaper than Yellowstone area ) Caller signal: good 2-3bar for att/Verizon , sometimes unstable for t mobile though Others: Laundry room is clean and open 24hrs. Food from the on site restaurants is delicious ( we tried pizza and steak ). The only complain is no near by the grocery and gas station and not very close to the river.

Great restaurant and bar. Beats anything we've had in our short trip to West Yellowstone by a mile. If you are in the area and want to get out of the tourist trap scene, Driftwaters is well worth the drive north.

This place is the absolute best! The location and scenery are over the top. Right in the middle of Ennis and West Yellowstone. Easy access to the park and Bozeman airport. Rachel is over the top accommodating. Deb, Trudy, and Tim take such great care of you at the restaurant. They truly care about giving the best service and providing delicious food! Make sure to ask for. Debbie Double!
