Very solid campground. About a 10 minute drive to gas stations/restaurants, so this is an ideal spot if you want an easy nature getaway while still being close to civilization. The sites were all pretty different, I would definitely choose one deeper into the campground. We stayed at site #20 and it was especially nice because we had our own oak tree, however the ground was a bit uneven. They all include a picnic bench, pit fires and a charcoal grill. The bathrooms were as clean as I’ve seen for pit toilets, and there was plenty of toilet paper. The hiking trail behind the campground is also quite nice, very well maintained and offers California landscape views of rolling hills, a lake and a vineyard.

My wife and I love this place. Not fancy but quiet and peaceful. Sites are far apart enough for nice personal space. No hook ups but we are fully self contained. Nice hiking. Nice views. Been coming here since I was a kid. Our go to for some serious chillaxin!!

Without knowing what to expect we went ahead and booked a campsite for 2 nights at campsite 26 Great little campsite, this site is exposed to almost full sun, so bring an easy up or extra tarp. Campfires were allowed, major plus! Plenty of wildlife and hiking very close. Other campers were very friendly. Will definitely be booking again

Site #18. Small Cleveland National Forest campground minutes from Temecula. Lower sites have lots of shade, upper equestrian sites have less shade. Short drive to Temecula wineries, or back to Temecula for supplies. Dripping Springs trail leaves from campground. Trail provides great views of the valley and connects to trails leading to Palomar Mountain. No showers, but has clean vault toliets.

Campsite itself was great and very well kept. We were at site #8 and it had the perfect amount of shade and sun. Lots of trails to hike which is convenient. My only gripes are the neighboring dogs barking all night waking me practically every hour of the night and the early bird day hikers making lots of noise as they walk through the campsite.

Excellent spot for camping, 10 minutes away from many wineries!

I have not stayed at the campground but have hiked there many times. It is a beautiful setting, very clean & simple. The trails are the best part.

All sites were by reservation only. Most were empty the two nites we were there which made for a very quiet experience. Water and restrooms and trash bins nearby and along of trails and trees.

Great campground with some really great camp hosts. Stayed Feb 12-15, 2021. There are lots of nice trails to hike, that are also dog friendly. Gets cold at night this time of year, but there is plenty of free downed wood to burn. Right now, every other camp site was closed due to the virus. You are most likely going to have to make a reservation through recreation.gov or you might not get a site, so be forewarned. I stayed in site 12, which was at the trailhead, and I loved it, great place to people watch and chit chat with hikers. If you are interested in joining in any hikes, you can find my hikes on the "Meet Up" app under the group "Five Miles or More Hiking Group" with the times and places I'll be going. Enjoy your hiking.

Great Family campground, very well maintained. There are several trails at the very end of the campground and in the spring, a nice stream flows through the area. In summer, it is usually dry. Most camp areas have a metal fire pit and a standing grill. Host at the entrance is friendly and helpful. Stop by and get to know the folks. The night star show is awesome. Turn down your lights and enjoy the show. We did need to move dinner inside the screened tent because the wasps? were bothersome. Stop by Temecula to get your supplies. Walmart is very close and Big 5 sporting Goods is also on the way.
