Great family fun! We have been going for years during Halloween week. The campground's decorations and activities are unforgettable. The cabins are clean and beds comfortable.

Unfortunately here for a week. Booked a premium site over 8 months ago. Couldn’t pick site, and now that we are here, we are right next to a loud highway. Can’t move unless we want to move again through the week. Would love to cancel but cant get in anywhere else without moving multiple times. Called Thousand Trails, it’s essentially my fault and they were no help. This is our first Thousand Trails experience and will definitely be our last.

I often join a friends family for a few nights every October and stay in a cottage. The cottages are very nice and always clean. Some are starting to show their age a bit, but its camping and the rustic feel is fine. The staff are all super firendly and very accomdating. Location is great too, $15 Uber ride to center of town. The halloween events on weekends in October are really fun, especially for kids.

Nice enough campground, but could definitely use some improvements. It's quite large, I got lost walking one night. Lots of seasonals, so parts of it are cluttered from too much junk. Pool was closed for the season, so I can't speak to that, but the bathrooms by the office were dirty and smell musty. Same for the laundry facilities. Musty smelling and old machines. They have golf carts to rent, there is a game room, and also a small mini golf course. Office staff was friendly. It was quiet when we went, but most of the seasonals were gone since it was late September. I could see how it could potentially be loud during the summer because of the multitudes of RVs that are packed in close together. Site itself was pretty small. We had no room to put up our hammocks.

I stayed at Drummer Boy Campground and RV, and it was a really great experience. The campground is very big, so you should bring a bike or wear good walking shoes, because there is a lot of space to cover. I actually liked how big it was, since there was always something to see and do. Everyone there was very friendly, and it felt super safe the whole time. That made it even more enjoyable. There are also tons of activities for families, so kids and adults can all have fun. Whether you’re hanging out at the campground or heading out to explore, there’s always something going on. One of the best parts is that Drummer Boy is really close to Gettysburg. If you’re interested in history, this campground is perfect because you can easily visit all the battlefields, museums, and other historic sites nearby. It’s awesome for families who like to learn about the past while also enjoying the outdoors. We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was very comfortable. The cabins have most of what you need for a couple nights, but if you plan to cook, you should bring your own pots, pans, or cooking tools. The cabins are cozy and clean, and they make a great choice if you don’t have an RV. Overall, I highly recommend Drummer Boy Campground and RV. It’s fun, safe, close to amazing history, and a perfect spot for families.

Needs some TLC! The park itself is very rustic looking (not the good stylish way)! Bathrooms were very cold (temp) which is good but had a musty odor, the site they put us in was way in the back right next to the highway (not nice considering we passed at least 5 empty spots closer) traffic noise was horrible and did not sleep well, pool was nice but, DIRTY, not well maintained, employees were not friendly at all, I said “hello” to a female employee and got NO response, the man at checking showed no great customer service, and the WI- FI is not free you have to per day. We stayed (2) nights and will not stay again, will inform my camping friends not to waste their money! Very overpriced for what you get!

This was our first time staying here and our last. As many have stated its a very large campground with a lot of gravel, boulders, and hills. It is very pricey and in no way worth it! Where we were located, unless you had a golf cart (which we didn't) you had to drive to any activities and parking was impossible. Not to mention how confusing getting around was. Roads every which way. Upon arriving I went to use the restroom at the office which the floor was rotted out!! Thought I'll wait until we get to our site. Which we were in the very back of the campground. Before setting up I thought I'd walk up to the bathroom which had a "out of order" sign on it. Our site was very tight and after opening 2 slides left room for nothing more than the picnic table provided ( which sat on a down grade) and 2 chairs. Our view for our stay was a huge boulder that separated us from the next site. As many has stated this place is very dated and in no way worth the prices they're charging. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because we were so far back from any of the activities that it was pretty much quiet, other than the highway from time to time. Sometimes bigger campgrounds are just not worth it. This is one of them.

Drummer Boy is a very large campground. We were only staying 2 nights but our site was way in the back. Felt like a 2 miles drive. The park is extremely challenging to maneuver in a large rig. Lots of boulders and trees everywhere plus hills you have to climb. The park is pretty. Lots of activities. This is a family “campground” not an RV park. The main reason I gave it 3 stars is the sites are extremely unlevel. No matter what we did we couldn’t safely level our class A motorhome. Also, there are tons of gulf carts everywhere. All with flags. It felt a bit like a big political statement… but there were no political flags. Just a feel. The park is very close to Gettysburg battle field. The park is also quite expensive. Over $70 per night. WOW. Not sure we will stay again just because of the price.

This campground is very well maintained. We really enjoyed our short weekend trip. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. My kids really enjoyed all the activities they had to offer. Mini golf is super kid friendly. Gold cart rentals are available, that’s a huge plus. The “full timers” do a Friday night golf cart parade to include tossing out candy. The carts looked amazing and all the participants smiled, waved and showed they really care about making our stay feel comfortable. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE. Thank You DBC
