We had a lovely stay in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, kitchen and living room suite. It was very spacious and perfect place to meet up with our family in Alberta . The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

They made my room every day. In all my travels this might be the only place that ever did that. The front desk staff were genuinely friendly, I looked forward to seeing them after work. Great job, keep it up!

The first night we stayed the AC decided to not work and even with a fan, it was still awful. The second night we stayed in one of the new suites and the AC was working and it was so nice! Full kitchen suite, 1½ bathrooms, 2 bdrms, one with a king sized bed and the other with 2 queen beds.

The food in the hotel was excellent with great customer service from the servers especially Fran. I appreciated how the staff offered meal options that accommodated my dietary needs. The concierge staff were excellent as well when I needed change for laundry or had any concerns.

If you are looking for an early start, you like to see the constellations on your ceiling, and you like to play "Let's decipher what they are saying on TV", then this is your place! From the beasts of hell trying to claw their way through the ceiling at 725 in the morning, to a self ejecting chair, to the garbled sounds coming from the TV because the speakers no longer are working properly and finally the "blackout curtains that are so old, they create a star pattern across the room, this is the hotel for you. This hotel is in dire need of updates and repair. Although the room was clean enough and the bed was decent, the rest of the stay was one of the worst I have had. Trying to call the front desk was a joke as no one answered and I had to call from outside of the hotel in order to raise anyone. When I was speaking to the person who answered the phone, I was told that no one was on the roof as no one had come for the key. Well sir, then you have gremlins on the roof. The tell tale fall protection railing that was running around the roofline and the sounds coming from above tell a very different story. No resolution was provided at that time or offered other than they would talk to the owner. When we were checking out the front desk lady was wonderful and quickly apologized and tried to find a resolution. She went and got the manager who quickly authorized the refund but other than that offered little more than excuses. So if you are looking for a early morning wake up call, a chair that tells you when you have sat too long and a challenge for your hearing and brain, look no further. We were in town for a funeral of a dear family member and after a hard time falling asleep, we were finally enjoying some much needed rest before the funeral and a very long drive home, to be jolted awake in the most abrupt and unfriendly manner. Bottom line, if you need to be in Fairview, stay with family or friends or take the time to drive from Grand Prairie to achieve your goal in town. The staff in the restaurants were very friendly and service in both the café and the fireside were wonderful, other than that there is nothing to recommend this place. Spend the extra time and money and stay in GP.
