This was our 2nd camping trip to this location and we'll definitely return. It's a well maintained location and beautiful. Very relaxing and good choices for level sites. The Host does a great job and actually works. Of all the Illinois State Parks (visited about a dozen) we've been to, this has been the only location where the Host interacts with you and cars a lot your stay.

Huge campground. Lots of trees. Depending on the site, be prepared to level your RV/Travel trailer. Lots of hiking trails. Great views.

Absolutely love love this campground. The host are phenomenal and super nice people! There are so many trails out there, very well maintained and a lot of fun! It’s great how quiet it is, no one is loud and rowdy. We definitely can’t wait to come back.

We were alone!! Trail is white blazed, and can be a touch ambiguous at times. Take your time and you'll find it just fine! We were there with the first leaf buds, so the view of the lake was beautiful!

Best golf course in a tri county area, the whitetail hunting is phenomenal for public ground, the campground is hosted by an absolute legend. This whole park is truly amazing. The only downside is the state employees are absolutely atrocious and are a true image of the state. Just stay away from them and run in the opposite direction and you’ll be rewarded with a good time.
