My family and I had the most wonderful time at East Lake Resort! The cabins were cozy, clean, and perfectly nestled in the beautiful natural setting. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We loved waking up to the peaceful lake views and relaxing by the fire in the evenings. The restaurant was a huge highlight! Delicious food, great portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. We ate there several times during our stay and were impressed every time. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care about the place and the people who visit. We all left with big smiles and memories we’ll never forget. Can’t wait to come back next year

Such a beautiful place! Our cabin had been recently updated, was cozy and very clean. The staff were friendly and so helpful…above and beyond! We didn’t eat at Blue Duck, but everyone said it was great. The little store was handy, too! We’ll definitely be returning!

Already can't wait to return! Our lakefront cabin was small and cozy but also clean and lovely; the pictures don't do it justice. It was so nice to just relax, watch the sunset, and listen to the wind. Every employee we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. We also enjoyed a great dinner at the Blue Duck Grill (for people traveling with young kids, there is a kids menu that isn't listed on the website). We didn't have a chance to rent any kayaks or paddleboards due to lack of time, but will do so on our next trip for sure. Overall, highly recommend as a stunningly beautiful place to get away and enjoy a more unplugged, quiet respite.

Set in the middle of a caldera, it was surprisingly easy to get to. We did not stay at the resort, but came to fish off the dock and caught a 14 inch rainbow trout within the first 20 minutes. I would categorize the resort as a more rustic place to stay, like an upgrade or a step up from glamping. It's a beautiful place though and there were many people (it was the 4th of July), but it wasn't crowded. The people in the general store were so nice and they had great prices. We will definitely be returning!

Easily my families favorite lake and resort! The staff are always awesome, supportive and helpful. The resort is clean, nice and has everything you need and more. The restaurant is great and reasonably priced. Bonus…the lake is beautiful and my families favorite place to hangout in the summer.

This is a great place. The lake is beautiful and the surrounding forest is spectacular. The lake fishing can be amazing. The resort, store, and Cafe are wonderful and staffed by friendly people. I stayed in the Redhead cabin. The cabins were built in the 60's and are maintained and furnished to the vintage era of when they were built. No TV's or WiFi which is great as it adds to the vintage vibe. I had a great time and will definitely return to enjoy this serene hideaway.

Don't come here. It's nice and not too crowded. I feel like everything in the area is so busy in the summer. It is really nice having an area that is not. The lake is beautiful. There is so much to rent and the guys who work there are nice about making sure you have what you need. They even have my 3 year old his own little paddle. The food is also really good and not a bad price. For being the only thing that's out there is impressive. Next time we plan to stay at a cabin!

Friendly service pontoon boats and kayaking available. Restaurant has good food. Get the Ruben sandwich if you like those. Cabins are pretty new and kept clean. Campsites also very nice location to lake all of them pretty have easy access to beach.

We stayed here in our truck camper during our 3k mile, 5 state road trip with our kids. It was okay and probably a "one and done" trip for us. Lake seemed peaceful, restaurant had good food and it was nice to be in the trees. Unfortunately the flies ruined a majority of it for us. It was like you couldn't get away from them. They would fly right into your face while you were walking and were bad enough in our RV area that we really didn't enjoy sitting outside. I don't know if it was just because of the time of year (for the extreme amount of flies and gnats) or what but I noticed that a lot of other people in the RV area were just staying in their RV's and not actually enjoying the outdoors and sitting around in their camp site. And when I did see them outside I could hear comments about the flies and would see them swatting as well. It was all day so it wasn't like we could get away from it. We are use to nature and bugs but this was the worst we have dealt with and it made it hard to enjoy the stay at all. Also, if you are going for the first time...they don't have maps in the office of the campground so you just have to wander around and figure it out on your own. The one map I did find online, the RV sites looked much closer to the water than they actually were (they are actually on the other side of the street from the main portion the campground). Restaurant wait staff was very friendly.
