Easterlin Park
Overview
Easterlin Park offers a refreshing and vital retreat within the bustling South Florida landscape. Spanning nearly 47 acres, this designated urban wilderness area provides a dense, lush canopy of shade that feels worlds away from the nearby city traffic and high-rise developments. As one of the oldest parks in the Broward County system, it is well-regarded for its successful preservation of native Florida flora and its peaceful, prehistoric atmosphere that provides a unique backdrop for camping.
Location & Surroundings
Situated in Oakland Park, Florida, the park is strategically located just a few minutes west of I-95. This central location makes it an incredibly convenient base for anyone looking to explore the greater Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area. While the immediate surrounding neighborhood is vibrant and fully developed, the park’s thick vegetation and ancient trees create a secluded natural barrier that keeps the atmosphere surprisingly quiet and restorative for overnight RV guests seeking a respite from the sun.
Amenities & Park Features
The campground is equipped with 45 spacious sites, the majority of which provide full hookups including water, sewer, and electrical service. Beyond the campsites, the park is a hub for outdoor recreation and community activities. Key features include:
- A professional-grade disc golf course that attracts players of all skill levels.
- Winding nature trails that showcase 250-year-old cypress trees and local wildlife.
- Convenient on-site facilities such as clean restrooms, hot showers, and laundry equipment.
These amenities ensure a functional and enjoyable stay for both short-term visitors and seasonal travelers alike.
Nearby Attractions & Things to Do
Travelers staying here are only a short, ten-minute drive from the sun-soaked Fort Lauderdale beaches and the eclectic boutiques and cafes of Wilton Manors. For those who enjoy the outdoors, the park serves as a gateway to the Everglades ecosystem, where airboat tours and wildlife viewing are popular day-trip activities. Additionally, the nearby Las Olas Boulevard offers a variety of high-end shopping and cultural experiences for travelers who want to experience the sophisticated side of Florida's Gold Coast.
Who This Park Is Best For
This destination is ideal for active urban explorers who desire the convenience of city amenities without sacrificing the tranquility of a traditional camping environment. It is an excellent fit for RVers seeking budget-friendly South Florida stays while remaining close to major coastal attractions and nightlife. If you appreciate a rustic, wooded setting that offers immediate access to the highway and local beaches, this park is a perfect match for your travel style.

Beautiful nature Park that offers camp grounds, Frisbee golf, play grounds, pavilions, volleyball and nature paths, bbq grills, picnic areas with plenty of area to run around and play for the babies or dogs and all surrounding a huge pond. The park is very well kept. The park has wildlife abundantly, 🐿️, 🦆, wild 🕊️, coyotes, iguanas are just a few. This is a special place to go and just take a walk or watch the scenery. This is one of my favorite parks

I took my 100yr old veteran of WWII father (Marine Corps/Semper Fi) for a drive thru the park and unfortunately he needed to use the bathroom at the campground, because the only other facilities are adjacent to the entrance which is fairly far away. Well, after parking in the handicapped spot and helping him to the bathroom with his WALKER, it was LOCKED on a Sunday afternoon (lunchtime) and after getting him back to the car to drive to the other facility, he had already went in his pants in my brand-new SUV’s cloth interior. I know there is a sign saying campers only while entering the campground, but this was totally understandable under the circumstances! This is a BROWARD COUNTY PARK that property owners that reside here help pay taxes for and the bathroom facilities are LOCKED DURING THE DAY! We are both property owners and tax payers here. I frequent state parks, county parks, and national parks all over our great country and this is the first-time I’ve ever encountered bathroom facilities LOCKED DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS and most especially on the weekends.

I was disc golfing. The course has 20 holes. A handful are long enuff for a "bigger arm", but most are rather short. The tricky part is on the technical side as there are very many trees. Very fun rounds can be had there. Additionally, the park is well used by people grilling and celebrating under pavilions and kids play area. Oh and finally there a full campground area that accommodates tents and RV's. Clean too. Enjoy it. (Fee on weekends) free weekdays.

We stayed at the campground and it was very nice. Tons of trees giving great shade for your camper. The laundry room and showers were spotless. The staff and security were very friendly. The location brings lots of road noise between I95 and the railroad but the location is great to be able to see south Florida as you are centrally located. I'd definitely stay here again.
