Echo Basin RV park is so clean and the sites are spacious. The bath house/ restrooms we very nice and clean. We think this is one of the best RV park and we have been camping many years in several states. We give Echo Basin RV Park a rating of 100.

This is a great RV Park! We've been coming here for several years now for at least a week every year. The Owners and Staff are outstanding. Tom always finds us a perfect RV space for our large trailer. The Restaurant and amenities are topnotch. We love that the owners are ATV friendly and let us ride our RZR and 4-wheelers in the park as well as driving in and out of the park with them. It is a great location for the activities we love to do in SW Colorado. We highly recommend staying at Echo Basin Cabin and RV Resort to anyone!!

We chose Echo Basin to host our family reunion because it holds special meaning for us—we’ve come here many times over the years to gather and enjoy the beauty of the area. Unfortunately, our most recent stay was deeply disappointing and upsetting. Despite spending thousands of dollars and each family member renting their own cabin or RV spot, we were treated poorly. The owner, Tom, was incredibly unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome. Instead of creating a warm, hospitable environment, he harassed our family throughout the stay. He seemed more focused on enforcing wristbands and collecting fees than offering any level of customer service. Many of our family members had to stay at hotels in town due to limited accommodations on-site. When they tried to come visit for a picnic or to spend time with us, they were told they needed to pay a $10 fee just to enter the property. Tom constantly walked around with a clipboard, questioning even the children about where they were staying and whether they had wristbands—something that felt inappropriate and unnecessary. At one point, he even inserted himself into our family potluck, standing at the end of the food line asking guests about their wristbands as they were trying to eat. There were also basic service issues: we had trouble getting extra toilet paper and trash bags, and had to walk up front to rent a vacuum in order to clean the cabins ourselves—despite how much we had paid. There were no real amenities, no hospitality, and no sense of welcome. We felt micromanaged, nickel-and-dimed, and frankly disrespected. We love Echo Basin for the memories we’ve made there in the past, but sadly, we won’t be returning. I’m sharing this so others can be aware before booking—especially for a large group or special event. It’s just not worth the stress. Tom’s behavior truly ruined our experience.

We had a family reunion at EB and the biggest problem was the owner Tom. I can see why when reading the bad reviews he takes no blame and no apologies and just throws it back at the customer. We paid to have our reunion here. We filled every cabin and every empty RV space. We even had the meat for our lunch for 300-400 people be provided by EB. Tom served the meat while asking the guest that didn’t have a red bracelet on where they slept last night. If the response wasn’t at EB he wrote their name down on a list. After all we paid to use the facility Tom charged the people not staying there $8.00. Then those that didn’t know they had to pay were harassed by Tom. If he wants to charge everyone then he needs to put up a fence and a gate at the entrance. He told campers they used too much toilet paper when requested another roll and when requesting another bag for trash Tom said they were making too much trash. The person asking was in a ten person cabin. When leaving you were required to clean all of the counters and sweep and vacuum. If you stayed in a the small cabins you were required to check out a vacuum from the front desk. One cabin even showed Tom the cleaned cabin and still had to call when the deposit wasn’t returned. EB advertised upgraded cabins with new owners. The upgrade was new couches. The beds were hard, pillows flat and our cabins window screens didn’t fit the fit the window. It’s July and very hot and no air conditioners or fans. You could check out a fan but they didn’t have enough for all cabins so first come first serve. We had bugs coming into all night while trying to sleep with the window opens. There were dead flies in the kitchen cabinets and spiders in the cabins. EB also had Campchef flattop grills that the covered picnic facilities had for use. Oh but you have to rent that too even though the flat top was rusted out and filthy. We had a full Saturday with events for our large family and of course Tom was stalking our activities like he didn’t trust us. Ok Tom now reply and tell us all these problems we’re all the customers fault. Let me have it!! A good customer service course might help EB management!

Echo Basin RV Resort is awesome. The grounds are nicely maintained and the lots are level and spacious. The wedding venues are beautiful as well. The views are spectacular and located near many interesting things to do. It’s off the main road (not too far though), so it’s quite. The bar and grill offers great food and drinks. The owners and staff are very friendly. This is our 3rd stay here and we love it. My only complaints are the amenities. The pool is kept clean but offers little seating, unless you bring your own (only 1 lounge chair and a few tables with chairs), there are no shade screens to avoid the sun. The pickleball court needs to be replaced. People still play what they call ghetto ball, but someone is going to end up getting hurt. They did replace the washers and dryers but didn’t opt for the debit/credit card payment so you have to get quarters from the office (no biggie). The bath houses could use some upgrades as well. Some strategically placed pet waste stations would be helpful as well. Overall this is a great place to stay, just wish they would upgrade the pickleball and basketball courts.
