Edgewater Inn & RV Park

Overview

Located along the Hi-Line in northern Montana, Edgewater Inn & RV Park offers a unique hybrid experience for travelers. It combines the flexibility of a dedicated RV park with the established comforts and hospitality of a full-service hotel property. It serves as a reliable home base for those exploring the rugged beauty of the Milk River Valley or traversing the state via U.S. Route 2. The park emphasizes convenience and cleanliness, making it a favored stop for long-distance travelers seeking a predictable and comfortable place to rest under the big Montana sky.

Location & Surroundings

The park is situated on the eastern edge of Malta, providing a quiet atmosphere while remaining close to essential local services. It sits near the banks of the Milk River, offering a scenic backdrop typical of the vast Montana plains. The surrounding landscape is characterized by wide-open horizons and dramatic prairie vistas. Its position makes it a strategic hub for visitors exploring the northeast Montana corridor, balancing easy accessibility to town dining and shops with the natural serenity of rural life.

Amenities & Park Features

Guests benefit from full hookup sites that accommodate various rig sizes, including wide pull-throughs designed for easy maneuvering. One of the standout features is that RV guests typically enjoy access to the inn’s premium amenities, which include:

  • An indoor pool and hot tub for year-round relaxation.
  • On-site laundry facilities and climate-controlled showers.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and fitness center access.

These features provide a level of creature comfort often missing from more rustic campgrounds, ensuring a refreshingly domestic experience for those who have been on the road for weeks.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Science and nature enthusiasts will find plenty of treasures nearby. The Great Plains Dinosaur Museum is an essential stop for those interested in the region's prehistoric past and the famous Montana Dinosaur Trail. For outdoor lovers, the Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge is just a short drive away, offering premier birdwatching and wildlife photography opportunities. Fishing along the Milk River or visiting the local aquatic center also provide relaxing ways to enjoy the local environment during your stay in Phillips County.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is ideal for cross-country travelers looking for a well-maintained stop with hotel-style amenities. It specifically appeals to families who appreciate the extra recreation options like the indoor pool and to dinosaur buffs exploring the state's fossil history. Because of its easy highway access and reliable full hookups, it is a perfect match for big-rig owners and road trippers who prefer the security and convenience of an established inn-managed facility rather than primitive campsites.

Got stuck in a terrible snow storm, the man who helped us was really kind and rented us a room and gave us food. The room was cozy and clean. It was a highlight of a very cold long night ! Thanks again!

Stayed in RV Parking area. Great stopover location for a weary traveler. Safe area with indoor pool, hot tub, steam, and weight room. Bathrooms were a little dated but always clean. I'm really glad I came across this place on my cross country Rt2 trek. Would look to stay there again

We stopped in at 3am after deciding the rain was too much for us to set up a tent. The staff here are a pure delight! So friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location near the main road made finding this place a breeze. Plus the morning coffee in the lobby was delicious. Plus the rate was very affordable.

Really enjoyed the night while there. Swimming, sitting in the spa and relaxing. The owner was so nice and we.enjoyed talking to him. He seen us taking selfie in front and came out and took pictures for us. Thank you for a great break from our truck camper. Room was clean and tv was good.

Im here at least once per summer for work and have never been disappointed. Ive stayed in both the rooms and the RV spaces, both of which were great. the spaces are fairly level and have plenty of room to maneuver, plus a good number are pull-through. The rooms are cozy, well kept and clean. The folks who run the place are kind, too. Edgewater is a mainstay for my summer work trips and I highly recommend it.
