Gorgeous campground right on the red river gorge. Nice little trail down to the river. Water trash and vault toilets available. Very well maintained, checked daily by BLM, and decently busy.

Great, well maintained campground with tables, shelters grills, water spigots, fire pits and two restrooms. Lovely views.

Wish there was hand sanitizer outside of the bathroom. Otherwise the view was spectacular, there was no light pollution, and the place was quiet!

Probably the least dramatic of the camping areas at Wild Rivers with views mostly east across the valley towards the Sangre de Cristo range rather than out into the Rio Grande gorge like most of the other areas. Still, a gorgeous spot that only suffers slightly in comparison to stunners like Big Arsenic. Camp sites are easily trailer accessible, but no hook ups, which is fine by me!

Loved this campground. Mid week beautiful quiet fire pit, cooking facilities outside wood and ice available for purchase at the Ranger station. Staff not very enthusiastic or.helpful.

Beautiful, quiet campground above the confluence of the Red & Rio Grande rivers. Biking, hiking & small Visitor's Center. Fishing available if willing to hike down to the rivers approx. 800 feet down. Large RV accessible but no hook ups or dump station.

I camped there the first week of October. The weather was great. Warm in the daytime and cool at night. We hiked down to the bottom of the canyon and enjoyed the river for a bit. Wonderful path. I will definitely go back.

This campground looks to have the best amenities, but you are on the Red River side of the gorge rather than the Rio Grande. This campground is the closest to the visitor center.
