Fabulous location with scenic views, cozy campground and clean, moderately equipped facilities. We stayed in one of the wooden A-frames that has a very comfortable queen bed and a double that slides underneath. A lovely outdoor sitting area with a metal firepit for evening fires under the stary night skies. Very well maintained and quiet. We would be happy to return one day.

As far as campgrounds go, this one has what you need & nothing more. It’s an open area with little privacy, but that is OK because you come here to see the Tablelands & other places to site see. The roads coming in can be rough & pay attention to directions given. Rough gravel road coming in to campground. Full hook up service was excellent, as was the Wifi. Laundry facility very nice as well. Priced reasonably too! Highly recommend if you are visiting the area.

Beautiful tent sites enclosed in trees. Lovely grassed walking trail. Comfort station on point with a place to wash dishes, chill out, and charge up. Super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

We rolled in just after sunset to magnificent views in every direction. The site was level and we had full hookups. Lovely hikes in the park and walks nearby into the village of Trout River. The drive in along 431 was more amazing at every corner, opening to gorgeous valleys, mountains, fjords and lakes. The washroom was spotless and well appointed and the water was plentiful and excellent quality for washing and drinking

We were warmly welcomed by the owner; we were the first campers, arriving a day before the official opening on May 15, 2025. The site is exceptional — we’re on a plateau with a view of the sea and the Tablelands mountains, including one peak that indeed resembles an elephant’s head. There’s a fishing harbor right nearby, and on the beach an excellent seafood restaurant, and it’s very close to the Tablelands hiking trails. The bathroom was spotless, and there were fire pits, electricity, and water service. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed several days at this RV park in July 2019. It was one of the most memorable stops in our travels through Newfoundland. Although we will not be able to get there this year, we are now planning to go back in 2022

This park is an oasis. Immaculately clean, friendly staff and so peaceful. The views from our campsite were spectacular. Each day we left our campsite and walked 5 minutes to the town of trout river. The beaches are beautiful and the people friendly. If you are looking for a small piece of nature’s beauty then this place is for you. You may find sites as nice but none are nicer.

What an experience! The perfect getaway. Waking up to that view cannot be beat. The sunsets were beautiful, with a great view from the park itself. The tent had everything we needed and much much more. The beds were very comfortable and we got a great sleep during our stay! The bathroom/shower area appeared brand new and was spotless. The cook house was great, we used it to get out of the sun while cooking our meals. It is very convenient for clean up. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best. Very friendly. Local recommendations were provided. Elephants Head RV Park and Trout River did not disappoint. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!
