First and for foremost I would like to thank Willy West for everything they do and have accomplished. We have be coming out for 8-9 years maybe even more. It be great watching the camp ground expand thought the time. One of the biggest accomplishments is the play ground that is wheel chair accessible. That is such a great highlight watching all the kids have so much fun. The long weekend are theme oriented. May long always has a band now and activities. July long is Canada day filled with activities and getting to watching every decorated. My two favorites are Christmas in August and how so many campers decorate for this. There is foam park for the children and course filled with all sorts of activities. September long is Halloween and we just love it. Again with a lot of campers decorating, but getting to see all the kids dress up. Last year we have like 110 or more kids as well as a band and activities. Some time ever a farmers market. Willy West is so family oriented and care about you and your family. You might even receive a thermos full of coffee. With two great nature walks and right on the North Saskatchewan River. It’s an experience you must see to believe. It my favourite spot in Alberta, nothing beat it. Can’t wait for 2026 Camping Thank You Roxanne Bedford-Smith

Willey West / Elevated Experience, what can I say... For starters, we've been going there regularly since the we moved to Alberta and started camping, and our children are now adults. Danica and I love this place, the big sites, the trees, the river, and the people are nice, from the front gate to the shore, if you need something, it's all good, help arrives. As long as we're able, we will keep coming back.

Just went for the afternoon. Busy but still lots open open area to play in the water. River is swifter father out but good for the kids close to shore. Could use a couple more tables in day use area. Very well kept. Nice size camp spots and kept very clean even for booked solid.

Great large campground with lots of trees, playground and pedal carts for rent, and access to the river. Small shop with some goodies and ice cream. Great place to camp for families and pets.

We had a great time at Willey West Campground! The area is beautiful, peaceful, and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. We really loved our stay. A few things to note: there wasn’t potable water available, and the bathrooms could use a little more frequent cleaning. Also, since the campground is quite close to the highway, you can hear car noise—especially if you’re tenting (mostly in the evening, when sleeping time). Other than that, everything was excellent, and we would definitely come back!
