Stayed at this park many times. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. The history is great and very interesting. The mountain views are incredible! Best views I've ever seen in a campground. Very close to RMNP and stores and restaurants (try the burgers at Boss). Now for the sites themselves. Not the very best. Dusty gravel roads with fairly uneven sites. Power boxes look new, but the lack of wifi or cable was concerning especially for kids. If the owners would spend some money to improve the roads, level out the sites, improve the functions at the lodge and maybe plant a few aspens, this park could have 5 star ratings. All in all, not too bad of a place to stay in a RV.

Good location and the bathhouses were nice as well. However, campsites are stacked on top of each other and the area around your site for your camper or RV is not very level. The whole campsite is basically a very dusty gravel area. There’s no grass or trees. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, but the driveways and the driving areas are pretty rough. The exit area needs some serious work for grading because there’s some big holes and rough areas coming out of the parking lot or the driveway onto the main street. When we checked in, they said they couldn’t guarantee that there would be picnic tables at every place. There was a picnic table at our site, but it was basically ready to be thrown away. Also, there was no cover on the electrical box. It confuses me how these campgrounds fill up when they’re open, but they won’t reinvest any of that money back into things. How a big Campground who charges $100 a night can’t buy picnic tables just confuses me.

The good - super nice and helpful staff. You can’t get any closer to the entrance of Rocky Mountain NP. Hook-ups worked fine. The not so good-overall what I would call a rustic campground. Many sites are not level and all are dirt. Took us an hour in our Class A to get level in our spot. We had to use a significant number of blocks under our right side tires. There is virtually no grass anywhere, including in the dog park. It is mostly dirt and a dust bowl. The mini golf is in need of repair. Entrance road in is ok but out really rattled our coach and contents. We did not try the pool but it looked ok. We did not use any other facilities.

We chose this campground as a landing spot after traveling two days. I knew it wouldn't be amazing but it definitely needs some TLC! First some positives; the staff was friendly and helpful, the shower/bathrooms were clean, spacious and convenient. It is on the free shuttle route which came in handy because we didn't bring extra transportation besides our RV. But there's no Uber/Lyft. Staff gave us info on a private car service thankfully which saved us one night! The views are fantastic! But the pool was absolutely disgusting! As a pool business owner, this is very unsanitary and just rude to your paying guests! It wouldn't take much to keep it clean. Plus the pump wasn't running even in the early evening so there's hundreds of bugs besides the scum. This is the only entertainment that was worth enjoying for down time. And after finding a nicer campground for less money, this one is overpriced. Not the best value. If you're not looking for fancy, or much activity with great views, this is a good choice. If you have kids or enjoy swimming, look elsewhere.

Uneven ground made it hard setting up our tent. The group is also hard driving stakes into. I wish there were more grassy, shaded areas for the tent sites. Overall, though, it's not a terrible place. My kids enjoyed the pool. I loved that there was a laundry facility. The bathroom/showers were super clean.

Great location as you could walk to the Rocky Mountain National Park sign/entrance and the views were awesome. Also really cool to see the wildlife walk through the RV park often. There is a decent sized dog park and the spaces were a good size. However, there's a lot of negatives. The spots are really unlevel; make sure you have blocks. the whole place is sloped so enjoying outside time is difficult. The sewer is upslope so that might be a problem for some. The water pressure varied. The roads are in need of repair all over. There is no Wi-Fi. They let you wash your vehicle but charge you $35 bucks to do it. The place is manned by "workampers" so service is hit or miss.

Great location near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Elk, deer and turkeys in the park. All gravel campsite nothing fancy. Great views in the campground. We were getting ready to have lunch outside on the picnic table on Saturday, when a worker came buy and took our picnic table. I advised the worker that we were about to eat lunch and later dinner outside. He said too bad they are closing for the season tomorrow and his instructions are to pick up all tables.

Campground's amenities were great. Appreciated the off-leash dog run. Bathrooms and shower facilities were clean and worked well. Access to city of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park both extremely easy. RV sites are full service.

Friendly staff, close enough proximity to town for biking in, and nice park amenities, but it was very pricey compared to most other parks with similar features. The sites are not concrete or leveled, though they are close enough. Water pressure is good. Stable electricity. Picnic tables are lightweight plastic. There is enough space between you and your neighbors. Lots of open space in this park.

I read so many reviews prior to arriving at Elk Meadow and was so nervous because of all the bad reviews. However, I can now say that it far exceeded our expectations! Upon check in everyone was so friendly and helpful, we were tenting and easily found our site, complete with a picnic table and fire pit! The bathrooms are easily within walking distance, they’re private AND have a shower (that’s free!! If you’ve camped in, or around, a national park before you know how rare this is). The woman who checked us in even advised us to use the bathrooms connected to the laundry facility as they’re a bit nicer than the ones by the tent site, (and yes they are!). The pool area is very nice, mini golf, horseshoes, corn hole… I don’t know why so many people were complaining. True to the name we even had an elk and her baby come through behind our site. We honestly felt like we were staying at the four seasons of campgrounds. However, most national park campgrounds are not this luxurious. We did not experience much dust, and we had some very strong winds (strong enough that our tent flipped over the second day), the bathrooms were always clean, staff was super helpful, and did I mention it’s 2 minutes to RMNP? We would stay here time and time again!
