It’s a beautiful spot with absolutely stunning views ✨totally worth the visit! The only downside is the small parking area 🚗, so it fills up pretty fast. You can still park along the roadside nearby. Overall, a peaceful and scenic place to relax and enjoy nature 🌿🌅.

During my vacation at Lake Tahoe, I visited Emerald Bay State Park — and it was absolutely breathtaking! The views are mesmerizing, with crystal-clear water surrounded by majestic mountains and pine trees. It’s one of the deepest and most beautiful freshwater lakes in the United States, and the natural beauty here is truly mind-blowing. Everyone should visit this place at least once to experience the peace and magic of nature!”

Absolutely beautiful. pay to parking meter $4 for your car. Its good for 1hour. Come with exact change. Take in the scenic views, hike, kayak etc. Bring water, a jacket and your camera!

Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL place! Be prepared to hike. You will have to park on top and hike all the way down. The path is pretty wide and doable with young children. It's easy to go down, but going back up will be pretty tiring because it's steep. The view makes it so worth it.

There are so many great spots in Lake Tahoe, but this one is a must! I took the trail down to Vikingsholm. The way down was easy, but coming back up was definitely a bit of a challenge since I’m not a big fan of hiking. However, even as a beginner, I found the trail totally doable. Parking is limited for sure. We got there at 9am, and we took the last one (lucky me!).

Came here for the first time last week and it was breathtakingly beautiful. A couple things to note... Parking in the actual parking lot is impossible. It felt like the Griffith Observatory. We ended up parking about a mile away and make the walk a long the road, which was kinda dicey. The hike down to the bay is easy enough and beautiful. The hike up is a bit tough. I saw the reviews on here saying that and they were right. It's definitely a challenge, especially after we had spent 2 hours kayaking. I'm not saying this to deter anyone, as the actual experience of this place was worth it. Once you hike down there's some on viking house to look at, though it's got scaffolding around it and a fence around it. There's a smallish beach to play on, and then there's the water craft rentals, which we did two 2 person kayaks. I'll say it's a magical place and despite the hike and parking situation, well worth the time and effort

You MUST stop at this beautiful lake during the daytime! The lake was amazing and we loved the waterfalls and trails they had in order to see the lake! The water was like glass, so completely clear, a good amount of parking spots. They did have a good viewing area as well with more parking and space for views. Overall, if you are looking for amazing water and views, go here. A must visit!

It's definitely a sight to see. The natural beauty of Emerald Bay is unmatched, and if you can find a cool, peaceful spot to just chill out and soak it all in.

A beautiful little slice of Lake Tahoe, with a perfect view of Emerald Bay, the larger lake behind it, and the mountain backdrop. There’s several hiking trails in the park, with Vikingsholm and Eagle Falls being the most popular, and you can combine them if you’re up for a longer trek. Vikingsholm seems like a cool place to see if it’s open, but when we came it was closed for the season. Regardless, it was cool to get down to the shore and feel the chilly water (although the view was honestly better from the parking lot). The trail can get icy or muddy depending on the weather, so wear good shoes and watch your step!

Eagle Falls was frozen on Friday and completely melted by Sunday - in early February! Crazy weather.. Otherwise, it's a very pretty area to visit and hike!

Beautiful views, great hiking (Rubicon Trail), BUT the worst toilets I’ve ever seen. They hadn’t been cleaned in a week. 🤢 Also, parking was a nightmare on a Friday in mid-October.
