We absolutely love staying here! We always reserve a cabin and stay anywhere from 3-4 nights. We just stayed from August 9th - August 13th and we were sad to leave. The cabins are always beautiful and comfortable! They have a dog park that our dog Windsor loves, he even made a friend this year and we are looking forward to having him play with Harley again next year. Staff is always welcoming, friendly and helpful. This is our 3rd year in a row coming here and I would highly recommend it! See you next year ❤️🏡🌲🌊

I visited this campground recently, and 10 years ago. The property has been well maintained, and is improved in some areas. We stayed in cabins on both occasions, and they are comfortable and very clean. Electric+water hookup RV sites in the back side are reasonably spaced with some trees/foliage between sites. Overall, pretty good. The full hookup sites in the front are technically well equipped, but are a parking lot kind of layout. Tent sites in the forest area are awesome. Heavily wooded and quiet. Large clear spaces. Good fire pits, nearby dishwashing station, clean bath houses (showers require quarters). Check the details on the cabin you actually reserve to see how it is equipped, especially for the kitchen. Some are kitchens like a home, others are dorm fridges with a microwave.

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Your team exceeded all of our expectations, and everyone in our group of 45 loved the venue. There was truly something for everyone. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the playground, and our families appreciated the variety of accommodations, including the tents, RV sites, and cabins. Additionally, the Celebration Hall served as the perfect gathering space for our group meals and games. We will definitely host our next family reunion here. 5/5 Stars - Perfect Redwood Getaway! ​Emerald Forest Cabins and RV offers an incredible camping experience tucked right inside the beautiful Redwood Forest. The setting is absolutely stunning, surrounded by tons of gorgeous trees. ​They truly provide everything you need for a great stay. The amenities are top-notch, including exceptionally clean bathrooms and showers, a dedicated pet area, a dishwashing station, and easy recycling. The front office features a super convenient mini-market, and the game room is a fantastic bonus. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-managed, fully-equipped campsite in the Redwoods!

Neat camping grounds with adorable cabins along with RV with full hookups and tent spaces. Coin showers starting at 5 minutes for 50 cents. Showers and bathrooms were kept clean and in service. Cell service available throughout the park alongside free WiFi. The girl in the store was welcoming and very helpful. Campground is right outside of Trinidad & offers quick access to eateries, coffee, gas, groceries, beaches and hiking trails. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

I used one of the camping sites. I use a pick-up truck and throw a swag in the tray. The site was big and all camp sites come with a bench and a fire-pit with a grill. ( just need your own wood). It was quite the experience sleeping in amongst the Redwoods. I’d checked in online, so it was very easy to check in. The location is great. I walked into town and walked to the light house (except it was shut). The Ocean Grove dive bar is less than 500m away. Highly recommend the Emerald Forest.

My wife and I stayed for a week in there cabins and enjoying our vacation. Each day we when for a drive, and they are not out of small town by about an half mile. My brother-in-law went tent camping, and they had a fire ring. 🔥 We enjoyed with them. It is beautiful in the Redwoods.

We’ve visited Trinidad and stayed at Emerald Forest a few times now. We like it so much, we keep coming back. It’s a nice older campground. The sites aren’t huge but are big enough. There is some privacy but depends on which site you choose. Bathrooms are older but fine, showers are 50 cents for 5 minutes which is a pretty darn good deal. The front office staff are so helpful and friendly. We will definitely return.

My son and I love everything about this place! The cabin was cute, clean and welcoming. The bathroom is very clean and had a fantastic shower. There is even a kitchenette. They included coffee! The scenery is beautiful. Everything was perfect. A surprise for us was that they have a little quarter arcade! We loved it. The staff are also very friendly. There is a store at reception as well. This is fantastic for when you forget something, or just want to get an ice cream.

We’ve dreamed of going to the redwoods for years and this was really the perfect spot. Cabin with full electricity, plumbing, kitchen, and WiFi, but the only place we found in the region where you’re actually staying in the beautiful woods. There was literally a redwood tree as part of our balcony lol. Beautiful site and facilities, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

We were gonna stay at Sue Meg State Park, but they were full. I am so glad that we found this place. What a beautiful and stunning campground. I can’t believe we felt like we were in the redwood national Forest. Yes, it’s near the highway and you can hear a few cars at night, but it’s not that bad. This isn’t backcountry camping anyway. It’s car camping. Come on people. But it’s car camping that feels like you’re in the backwoods. Bonus, you get all the amenities like running water and flushable toilets and showers. They have dog parks. The little shop has firewood and anything you need that you forgot. Plus, it’s so close to Trinidad and we decided we didn’t want to cook so we ate out every night. Even got a delicious latte in the morning. We had pizza one night too. Just look up all the restaurants in Trinidad. You won’t be disappointed anywhere that you eat. I would totally camp here again. It was so nice. It’s a quick drive up. They 101 to go to the Redwood national Forest for the day. We did a couple great hikes and had a picnic up there, and then came back to the campground. It was awesome.

This is a very nice campground. We stayed here 20 years ago, and it is still as nice as I remembered. Sites are nestled between redwood trees. There are cabins, too, that have all you need. Our friends stayed in cabin and we had our travel trailer. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here over the holiday weekend and had a great time. We usually camp in our RV but decided to have a tent weekend and it was so nice. The spaces were very roomy and not on top of each other and were very clean. The bathrooms were clean and even had showers yes it was 50 cents but I could see how this would cut down on water waste. The gals working in the little store were always very pleasant and it was nice to have plenty of trash cans and a dish washing station. We will definitely be back.

Trinidad is a charming fishing village along the Northern California coast. We loved staying at Emerald Forest Cabins and RV--somehow it's only 2 minutes to the great coffee shop (Beachcomber) or fish place (Seascape) in town and beautiful beaches but you are nestled among redwoods. I love that it was dog-friendly. The staff are awesome and this is a great place for those wanting to explore redwood country. My only bit of advice is to bring a warm blanket to put on top of the bed. There are heaters in the cabins but the bedding would benefit from a nice blanket. Also be sure to choose whether you want a full kitchen to cook or not.

We stayed here for three nights at a tent site. The park itself was beautiful and had a lot of natural charm, which we really enjoyed. Unfortunately, the bathrooms had an unpleasant odor, and we were surprised to find that showers required an additional fee on top of the campground cost. Throughout our stay, multiple neighbors were noisy late into the night, which made it hard to get a good rest. While the setting was lovely, these factors will likely lead us to choose a different campground next time.
