Quite noisy. About 100 yards from both interstate and a busy highway; about 1000yards from very active railroad tracks. Grass between sites were in serious need of mowing. But there are slim pickings for a place to sleep in this part of Kansas.

We arrived with our RV 50 amp only working on half the circuits. Their on-site RV folks diagnosed the problem and next AM fixed it so we could be on the road. My transfer switch between shore power and generator was the issue. They bipassed the switch until I could get a new part which takes 2 days. We were back on the road the next day. Part ordered for further down the road.

Last minute reservation for 2 nites. Placed us under a tall tree, purple bird crap all over trailer and truck! Fireworks being sold in front of RV Park, so yes Fireworks every nite late into the nite! Nice Mgt, but younger RVr's very inconsiderate. Someone's trailer caught on Fire. Fire Trucks, ambulance and multiple Sheriff squad cars on scene!!

If you like staying in a campground with derelict vehicles and old run down campers, then this is the place for you. We have stayed at 2 campgrounds listed by Good Sam and both were dumps. I will never stay at 1 again. Not worth any savings in price.

Good location and friendly staff but the facility could use some updates. The bathrooms and laundry are dated. Picinic table was rough. They did have a nice grassy area to walk the dog and included a disc golf course. Overall not bad for a short stay.

I travel 250 plus days a year and often take my 40-foot deisel pusher, towing my car. This place has it all. 50 am and 30 amp service, good water, and pull through spots. Some are a bit out of level, but there is no issue with leveling Jack's. Quite and comfortable close to town, very reasonable price with shower, wifi and laundry facilities. A welcomed find.

I was a long term tenant while working for a local company. Cannot say enough good things about the owners and staff, absolutely a breeze to work with. They work to make sure your packages and mail are secure and address any issues with the site quickly. The train and the interstate are noisy, but I’ll take them over the other RV park options in Emporia and surrounding communities. There’s not much in Lyon county, so this was a welcome place to stay for me. Park was safe and never felt my assets were in even the slightest danger.

Location is the only thing that makes the price make sense. Bathrooms are clean, however sites are only semi level, small park with sites facing your neighbor. The park WiFi is spotty, and with Verizon we had 3 bars, and you will not get any tv service. Many long term RV folks that apparently don’t have to follow dog leash rules. Our neighbors dog enjoyed using the bathroom on our steps, however when the owner realized I was in the RV he told him to get in his own house. Walking to the bathroom you will be approached by no less than 5 large dogs that are running around, however I’m assuming that the adults that were outside were the owners 🤷🏼♀️ We will just adjust our schedule and just find a different place.

very accessible from the highway, full hookups, easy pull through sites. But you are literally right beside the interstate and next to train tracks. If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to spend a few days this isn’t it. If you’re looking for an easy place to get off the highway with an RV for a few hours and rest, this works if you have some ear plugs or are hearing impaired.

Great stop to dump my tanks and fill my fresh water tank for $10.

We stayed one night, easy to get in and out. A bit of a debacle on check-in, but it all worked out. Would stay again if travels take us that way again

We stayed one night on our way to Texas. The woman that checked us in was very pleasant and referred us to a pizza place. We showered that night and though the facilities a tad dated they were spotless. We will be back next year!

Nice resting place on our way through. Pleasant service, very clean restrooms and showers. Clean modern laundry. Pull through full hook up sites for easy in and out. Secure wifi at sites. Sites are level so no side to side leveling required. Great for a quick stop, I wouldn't recommend it for a vacation destination, that is not what it is intended for.

Park has a convenient location (on the outskirts of Emporia and also a short drive to the Tallgrass Prairie Site, but with that comes noise: Train, and 2 highways, but keeping your fan or AC running helps. Park has the issues one expects from an older park that has not been updated. Arrive between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm (office hours) to get cable box for TV. Tent sites are in an open field without amenities other than use of restrooms/showers. Park can be very dusty when busy. Wi Fi can be spotty, and best closer to the office rather than the back of the park. Bathrooms, showers and laundry room are kept very clean. Generally, no management is in the park (but phone number if assistance is needed), again office only open 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with welcoming staff present.
