Perfect for an overnight stay. Woodsy atmosphere and it was very quiet. I would definitely recommend this KOA. Also, very easy access to major highway!

Truly the Bates Motel of Campgrounds. Absolutely the worst koa we've camped in yet. The playground is extremely outdated and dangerous with rusty stuff from the 60s or 70s, the campsites are super small, outdated bath house with broken tile, and the owner/manager is a terribly rude man. He refused to remove a musty pair of pants from the dryer even when I had wet clothes that needed to go in and no one had come to claim them for several hours. He even threatened to call the police on me for "harassing him" when I asked him his name and he refused to give it. I only tried to explain my situation and that I needed to use the machine. I was completely shocked as I was in no way harassing or threatening him, only discussing an issue with him as the manager on site. My guess is he was on a power trip but it was very petty. Because of him it took me 3 extra hours to dry my family of 6's laundry and I missed out on precious time with an elderly loved one. Worst camping experience of my life. Skip this one, trust me. And I got his name from another employee, it's Rich. So thanks Rich for ruining our day. Very professional of you. And by the way, as I write this, several hours have passed, and still no one has come to claim the pants. It's likely as I suspected from the beginning; someone left them here and all of this was for nothing.

This place gives me Nostalgia from my childhood! I met with the owners Rich and Jennifer today and they were very hospitable. Clean and safe place to camp with your family and only 45 minutes to Raleigh! Can't beat it.

Very tight sites. Stayed a few times. Never saw a staff once. Muddy roads. Pool bathrooms playground all a total mess. Owners seemed to have given up. Reported to corporate. For an overnight if you use zero facilities it’s easy on and off the highway. Otherwise a total mess and needs major attention.

Perfect stopover for us over the last several years. This stop, we had a problem with our truck. They gave us a local repair service, kept us in a spot until the repair was done. We're very grateful for the level of service we always get here. Thank you. We appreciate you.
