My family and I were frequent campers at this site for the better part of 25 years. The current owners are rude and inconsiderate. The lady owner lurks around the grounds at night and no matter how empty the place is (mid-October), if you are slightly loud, you are brow-beaten over it. My wife and I were sitting around the campfire, having a good time reminiscing and I guess I got too loud. She came out of the dark bushes and reamed us out! This wasn't the first experience I had like that, but it will be the very last, unless I see a banner "Under New Management".

I’ll keep it simple… The campground is close to Lake Erie and downtown Erie. The grounds were kept up fantastic. The campground property is pretty level. It doesn’t take much to level out your camper and great for young kids riding bicycles. The pool was closed but it was October. The camp store was great with ice cream, snacks, stickers, camping items, fishing stuff, and cash/ credit card was accepted. The bathrooms were large and clean. No outside firewood was allowed but the camp store delivered firewood to your site and had plenty in stock. When we left on Sunday early morning it was nice that all of the campers and tow vehicles are only permitted to park on their gravel spots. It made it easier to maneuver out of the campground and I didn’t have to worry about maneuvering around anything with our big camper.

We have stayed in many KOAs across the country. This is one of the nicest we’ve seen. It was late in the season so a few of the amenities were closed. Nice hosts who greeted us while we walked our dog around. The pool and pond area are very nice. The entire campground is clean and well cared for. Compared to many places there is very little mud to contend with.

This was our first KOA experience with our new travel trailer, an Ember Touring 20FB. We had our 3 dogs with us. This was truly a great experience for all of us. While we prefer not to have campers right on top of us, camping in the fall was perfect in that we had space between sites. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back and stay at the sites on the backside of the pond. Just overall a very nice and clean campground with very friendly staff.

Worst experience I ever had. Things started off good but quickly went down hill. As we were leaving my father came to help us pack our things to leave and helped us walk our dogs while we were packing. He looked at the campground real quick while my girlfriend was finishing up packing as my family has a group of about 7 separate campers that would have been interested in booking next year. Then the owner came down screaming at my girlfriend about his vehicle being parked in wrong spot. (He could have asked politely and he definetly would have moved). Then he flew all the way over to other side of campground and yelled saying he could kick us all out. Mind you he wasn’t even there a half hour and we were almost ready to leave after the dogs were done. All this because they needed there $9.50 charge. Well that minor charge cost them thousands of dollars in business next year due to a poor attitude. I’ve been to many koas and never had an experience like this. Would never recommend to anyone.

DON’T CAUSE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION! Change in ownership ruined what was once a very nice campground. I was lectured for ten minutes about the rules at check-in like a 16 year old learning to drive for the first time. I’m 48. Zero customer service or professionalism. The owners are committed to over-the-top enforcement of their rules and policies rather than an enjoyable, comfortable stay for their campers. They will yell at your kids for being kids (and I’m tough on my kids). They will scold you relentlessly if you’re a dog owner. They will absolutely HARASS you if you’re outside past 11, even when you’re not being loud. It’s truly an 11pm curfew, not quiet hours. Sharon (owner) will even play the victim card if you question their harassment. Very sad and incredibly unprofessional! Countless complaints during our stay about the owners, even from an employee. Press the “lowest” review setting to read the many other similar issues. They’re not wrong, as opposed to their damage-control 5-star rating inflators. We camp to relax and enjoy time with our family, not to cause problems, but the owners created adversity and put us on edge during our stay. Add to it that the cable reception was terrible, the jump pad was closed, and there were no activities for kids. A large number of seasonal sites were vacant, which says a lot. None of the six families we came with will be returning and KOA corporate should seriously reconsider franchising the owners of Erie KOA Holiday.

Stayed for 2 nights and had zero issues. Check in was quick and easy. Jamie explained the map to us and where things were located & what was closed. Told us about the sunset at Presque. We had our wood delivered to the site by a very nice guy (didn't catch his name) and then got another bundle delivered by Jamie on Saturday. Sue was very nice in the the store, as well. The cabin we had was really clean and nice. One of the things that I thought was above and beyond was that the firepit was 100% cleaned out! Been to many KOAs where they aren't even touched from the previous camper. We panned for gems and that was a fun time too. We stayed out by our fire past 11 with no issues. We respect the rules of every campground we go to. Definitely will plan a trip next year.
