Hidden fees, no direct answers and way overpriced. They were nice enough to give me a refund after signing up and realizing they were hundreds of dollars more than the competition (South Dakota residency center). The xscapers and rv club are all boomers not working age travelers. They’re the only ones who would pay triple the price for less service. Harvest host (the new owners), is a bad company trying to take advantage of seniors and nomads. Do your research before jumping into a service like this. Texas is not the best place for a working full timer either. South Dakota is. Don’t use Americas mailbox whatever you do.

I love my escapee membership. The staff are knowledgeable and always available to help. I have changed my domicile 3 times and was helped along the way by the staff. My packages are always promptly sent. The process is easy and I feel secure with all my important business going there. I would highly recommend. I’ve been a full time rv’r and member for 3 yrs. Cheap campground fees for members. Come on❤️

I called this place to try to get information since the website itself is setup in a way that sends red flags all over the place and is quite archiac. The woman who answered sounded as if she was higher than a 747 and it was like pulling a newborn baby's teeth out... i got none. It seemed like all she knew how to say in a very backwoods accent was," Well, didja...," after I had given the answers multiple times to the imbecilic questions she asked. When I asked her if it would be better to drive several hours to go in to get answers, she at first started trying to avoid me going there, but finally caved in and said I would have to have an appointment. For what reasons? So she can make sure all of her paraphernalia was hidden out of sight? Who knows... I asked her several times for what services were provided and what was the pricing, but at no point would she divulge any information past, "Well, didja...? I hung up in the ridiculous woman. Then I went to read the reviews. Seems all you have to do is make a phone call to find out the 1 and 2 star reviews, the real reviews, are spot on. Definitely look elsewhere for a mail service.

I renewed my Escapees membership (given a US Veterans discount...thank you!) on December 18, 2024. That membership is supposed to expire in February 2026. But Harvest Host just renewed my Escapees membership today, May 12, 2025 ... and CHARGED me for it. Therefore, Harvest Host appears grossly DISHONEST. I wrote to that business several times, but never received a reply. I am also a member of Boondockers Welcome which is supposed to charge me only $30 per year because I am grandfathered in forever at that price. But Harvest Host overcharged me. Plus, what I do NOT understand, Harvest Host gave me some sort of STUPID "credit," which I never requested and do NOT want. What's going on with Harvest Host? It appears that business is DISHONEST.

A bit run down for the headquarters of a national rv club. I had a hard time locating a package and one woman was a bit rude about it, but I found it eventually aftermuch persistence. The tenants and guests are super friendly and helpful and I really met some great folks. Great hiking nearby in the Big Thicket and Livingston Lake. There is a SmartWeigh there which is amazing once you get someone to tell you how to sign up. Kris who does the weighing is filled with tons of information about rigs. Her knowledge was much appreciated. I hope this dated club can pull itself into modern times.

This service is full of hidden expenses. Buyer beware! After paying an initial payment $115. I was made aware that it would be useless and is non-refundable unless I buy a club membership. This first payment is just a way to bait you into purchasing before they let you know that an additional $50 is needed for that to be used.

Being a member of escapees rv has truly helped out family thrive as full time rvers. Honestly the best decision we ever made. Mail is always sent on time and in great shape. They took a huge burden off of us by providing such amazing services.

It's OK. Very little wifi so don't expect it. Could be so much better with a little TLC from owners !! Dogs barking alot so peaceful surroundings is seldom to come by.
