Disappointed by the Experience — Room for Improvement Our group was really looking forward to our final camping trip of the season over Thanksgiving weekend. We had stayed at this campground last year when it was under “Harmony” and had a great experience, so we were excited to return. We booked four sites under my name, and three additional sites were reserved by other members of our group. I had included a note in my booking requesting that our sites remain as booked so we could stay together. Upon arrival, I was assigned a lot number that wasn’t part of my original booking — not a major issue, but a bit confusing. However, when my sister arrived just minutes later, she was given a site that was already occupied; I had been told just 10 minutes prior that the lot was occupied by another member of our group, so that fact that they then assigned my sister that same lot number accurately shows the error on their end. Despite what management may say in response, we did not switch any site numbers ourselves. My sister’s family had to wait at least 30 minutes on the gravel road before someone came to resolve the issue. While this was eventually sorted out, it was a frustrating start to the weekend. The more concerning issue came the following day. Our group included respectful and responsible 12-year-olds who were excited to use the pickleball court. Unfortunately, before we had a chance to speak with anyone, the owner abruptly removed them and padlocked the court, citing concerns about equipment damage. In their response to other reviews, management claimed our children were damaging the net — which is simply not true. No damage was visible, and no evidence was provided. The posted rules state that children under 12 must be supervised, and our kids were within the guidelines. When we tried to clarify this, we were met with a surprisingly rude and aggressive response. Management has claimed they were met with hostility, but I can say with confidence that their tone toward me was hostile from the start, which naturally led me to respond defensively. When we pointed out the signage, we were told “too bad,” and the conversation was abruptly ended as the staff member walked away mid-discussion. I was genuinely shocked by the lack of professionalism. The following day, I had a more respectful and constructive conversation with someone I believe is either a manager or the owner. He came to our site to apologize for the reservation mix-up and offered a 10% discount toward a future stay. While I appreciated his gesture and tone, it doesn’t change the fact that we felt extremely unwelcome as non-seasonal guests. In five years of camping, we’ve never had such a disappointing experience with customer service. Suggestions for improvement: Improve reservation management to avoid confusion and delays at check-in. Ensure staff interactions are respectful and solution-focused, especially when addressing concerns. Clarify and update signage to reflect actual policies regarding amenity use. Avoid blanket restrictions on amenities unless absolutely necessary, and communicate changes clearly to guests. Treat all guests equally, whether seasonal or not — everyone deserves a welcoming experience. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the campground itself was lovely. With better communication and a more guest-friendly approach, future stays could be much more enjoyable.

I'm in shock at the response that has been given to 2 reviews our group add to this page. The response include out right lies. There was a mix up with the reservation, this happens and has happened to us else where before, no big deal. We wanted to make sure we wouldn't take lots reserved now by other people. The person they said took the wrong lot was still in one of the lots we reserved. The problem was that they were giving out wrong lot numbers and excorting us to then different numbers again and couldn't stop pointing fingers. At the end of the day we're all camping together, just tell us where we can go. The next point about the kids, there was 0 damage and I truly wish we would've taken pictures to prove it. They told us 3 different reasons why the kids couldn't go play in the pickleball court and none of them included anything about us causing damage, nor did we. They even said they could because it 18+, but the sign said 12+. They wouldn't even let us go and supervise the kids. If you're not family friendly, just say it. I respect the fact that some places prefer adults only It sucks because the place was beautiful, but the staff, wow. I was shocked while we were there, but now on top of it, they are lying in their review responses. They offered us 10% discount to go back next year and based on the beauty of the lots alone, I was considering it (even without the discount) but no, not now.

Horrible experience so far, which is too bad because this is a nice campground. Very disorganized, handing out lots that are already occupied. We had multiple lots booked because we were a big group and instead of just honouring the lots that were pre booked, they decided to shuffle a few around and somehow deleted one of the bookings. The guy even drove us to the lot that was supposed to be for us only to find out it was taken by someone already. Had to wait 30 min just for management to come to the lot and figure out the dilemma. Also it seems like the owners have a thing against kids, definitely not a kid friendly campground. They have a pickle ball court which the kids did not know was strictly for pickle ball, they were simply playing badminton, and the lady (owner) rudely told the kids to get out, that it was a pickle ball court and that they were not aloud to play in there. So our kids came back and told us and we figured okay fine cant play badminton, so we gave our kids a pickle ball set to go play. The kids went over and the lady said that the court was closed during lunch time, so the kids came back had lunch, went back over after lunch only to find a lock on the gate to the pickle ball court. We went to talk to the lady (owner), and she said no kids aloud, although they have a sign that says 12 years and up which our kids are of age. When we told her about the sign she said she makes the rules, and its too bad “tant pi” in french basically she doesn't care. This is the most disrespectful, nastiest, most disgusting attitude people we’ve had to ever deal with of all campsites we have ever been to. Definitely our first and last time camping at this place, i do not recommend it to anyone, save yourself the hassle and bull and book elsewhere.

Super park with an awesome lake and many places to swim. The Makinaw rock / cliff is impressive and shows ancient drawings from First Nations peoples. Great (and level) camping sites, perfect for camper trailers. They also have cabins and yurts to rent. The park store, however, doesn't have food, other than a small cafe. You will have to drive 15 minutes for a grocery store.

We just came home from such an amazing first time weekend stay. One of the best places we have camped. The owners were kind and so helpful. Even stored my surprise birthday cake. We will be coming here more often.
