We camped at Explore Park in our camper and had a great time. I’ve also been to Explore Park for lots of other activities. The tree-top adventures is so fun. And the Holiday Light event is beautiful.

Love how they cut down trees and paved over existing dirt trails to install a new, paved Greenway. Great work, Roanoke County. Pictured is before and after.

Explore Park has so much to offer and is such a great place to spend time outdoors. When we visited, most of the main attractions like the treetop climbing were geared more toward older kids and adults, so our younger ones weren’t quite ready for that yet. Our oldest wasn’t really interested in the climbing, but one of the staff members was kind enough to let us know there was a playground just across the street and some nice, easy trails that were great for little ones. We ended up heading over to the playground and the kids had a blast there. It was the perfect way to let them run around and enjoy the space. Definitely a great stop for families just make sure to check what's age-appropriate for your group!

This place used to be a nice woods retreat in the city with beautiful hikes by the river. Due to $$$$$ and Roanoke county development they have completely destroyed the river trails by chopping down all the woods, trashing the place, and paving every thing over. They are trying to turn this into another over developed urban tourist trap. Many people are angry about this but it's all about bringing in tourists and making money. Had good memories here and they are all destroyed. I will never support this place or give them a single dime
