Came to hike and play my Native American Flutes. Ended up at Pelton Pond. Absolutely Beautiful there, wonderful experience

Great hiking trails! The paths are very dynamic - with up and downs, rocks, roots, trees and a few damp areas near the ponds. Not very crowded so the trails are a little overgrown (I suggest wearing pants). Other than a great hike it’s quite picturesque. There are also places to grill around a lake/pond that’s very pretty. Highly recommend.

$10 parking fee. It has a beach with picnic and bbq area. Free shower and bathroom are provided. Boat house has boats and kayaks rental. A mini cafe offers hot drink and hot food. If you booked the campsite, parking fee is included.

Very nice relaxing beach on a still clean lake, with roped-off swimming. Kids seem to love it. Lake has separate boats n kayaks to glide around the very quiet dammed up water. Worth one hour for $10 fee. Good bathrooms y snack area y parking ( fee) n picnic tables. Not at all crowded weekdays. Situated exactly at an exit on the Taconic parkway in Putnam county. Recommended for hot days if no other beach ( atlantic) option.
