We stopped with our RV for an overnight on the way to Texas. It’s fairground camping. No pads or gravel but nice big grassy area to pull in. Had electricity and water (dump station on site) for $25.00. We decided to stay an extra night and check out President Clinton’s birthplace, some antique stores and a jonquil festival in Old Washington. It’s a first come, first serve campground. There is a box next to office front door to put your cash or check in. Nice park to walk in and a fishing lake at the back end of the park either a nice area to walk. No showers or laundry but there is a bathroom (a.k.a tornado shelter) near the horse stables. Yes, the sirens went off during the night. I gave it four stars because there is a bit of trash laying around and it seems some minor upkeep is needed. Otherwise, nice place to stay.

I’m visiting from Texas, and had to visit this park with in town. The park is pretty cool, there’s a lake in the back of the park and a playground and tennis courts in the front. There are also basketball courts and plenty of room in between to let your dogs run to their heart’s content. Stop by, you’re in for a great time.

RC Camping while traveling. 200 spots, 30 and 50 amp with water but First come, no reservations. Check event schedule, busy Fair Grounds. $25 easy to drive in, trees cleared back on PARK st. Do not use Mockingbird with tall rigs. Quiet. Low income neighborhood, but still felt safe.

Great park, busy Saturday night for the Watermelon Festival. Friendly people beautiful grounds, great parking and lots of room to spread out! Mark Wills did a great concert, after Marshall Tucker bailed.
