Would be a nice place but you can’t believe the camp host always tells one thing and does another. With the area they have they packed 4 bigger campers into one spot maybe 35 ft by 80ft and was told we had to move for the fair which is understandable but then tell us we wouldn’t be able to have power for the 2 weeks (beginning of August) I think not even though I was the 2nd person even before park opened. Then was told we could stay free (no power) but then wanted to charge the normal daily rate for days leading up to fair which is a lot more then the month rate. We also invested in a lawn mower as they wouldn’t mow near the campers or even trim unless you moved them just to mow..

This us such a pretty place. The sites were big. Ours was a pull through & we were off by ourselves. We saw a few more campers scattered around. I would love to be there when they are having an event. They have so much room & the grounds are pretty. We would definitely stay here again.

It would be unfair to compare this park to privately-owned or state parks which have more amenities; so, for what it is (on fairgrounds property), it is a decent place. We were visiting with family in town for about a week and this was the only park that had full hookups and a site large enough to accommodate our 40' fifth wheel. It should be noted that our site was one of only four that had full hookups that included sewer. Also, your AC should be in top working condition if you plan on staying here in hot weather as shade is hard to come by. Camp hosts Paul and Pam were very accommodating. We asked them if they could bring a picnic table to our site so we could have family over for a BBQ - they brought one over with a forklift. Nice folks.

Looked at lots of places to camp in the general area, as I am traveling for work. Prices are great, very nice grounds, bathrooms and shower are always immaculate. I like that the campsites are spread out, not on top of each other. Closest camper to me is about 75yds away. It is a fairground, so it is flat, with a few trees, but it sure beats the concrete jungle options. I was staying here when the county fair arrived, had to move spots during the fair(which I knew ahead of time, and was compensated for), was really cool to be on the Fairgrounds during the fair. Access to the rides, games, food and events was easy, especially when you are steps from your home. Moved back to my previous spot after the fair left, staying in a 30amp site with water and power, no sewer hookup. Dump station on grounds, easily accessible. My site is all grass as I believe most are, some sites that are 50amp I believe, are on gravel with full hookup. Easy pull thru for most sites except the 50amps, they are back in I believe, with more than enough room for a motorhome or massive 5th wheel. Water spigots can be far to run a hose to for the 30 and 20 sites, but not a big deal. Water is good, no complaints there. Grounds are well kept, no trash, lawn mowed frequently, all around very clean. The campground host Karen is a LEGEND!!! Answered all of my questions before I booked a site(which i had a lot cause of the fair move), always willing to help and make sure your stay is amazing!! She is the BEST!!! Would definitely recommend staying here for short or long term.

We only stayed overnight as we were traveling through. It was super easy to make day of reservation online. You pay host when you arrive (cash or check) $30 for 30 amp. Karen the host met us at the gate and guided us to our spot. She was very kind super friendly. The park was a beautifully groomed level grass field. Plenty of space. Wifi worked fine although Karen warned me it may not give good signal as we were in back field. It was peaceful and quite. No event was going on at the fairgrounds. Recommend.

If you want a nice breeze and wide open spaces, this is a great place! Lots of room and this is an interesting place to do a lot of walking or jogging in. People are great, Thank you to Dale and Roger. They also added a new dump station. Works great.

I am really enjoying camping at the fairgrounds. The only thing it is missing is trees and they have planted some to replace the ones they lost. I feel very safe here. They have cameras and a camp host. The host has been very helpful. Everyone has just been wonderful. The grounds are kept clean and mowed. The layout is spacious. The fairgrounds are just minutes from shopping, storage, and my children I am visiting. I've extended my stay rather than moving to the next campground as it's just so pleasant.
