(2025/11/04) Today was my second time to complete the lake trail with my mountain bike, again a tired but very satisfying experience. Overall, even for laymen, the length and technicality are pretty much approachable. And there are some advanced trails for the experienced ones. Pick a day with good weather and have a go.

I was here very briefly but I enjoyed it a lot. Husband and I went fishing, saw lots of huge fishes jumping out of the water. Unfortunately I only caught a small fish. I would definitely come again and maybe rent a boat. Beautiful conservation and staff was very kind.

There are so many reasons to visit Fanshawe Conservation Area, whether it's camping, hiking, boating, biking, fishing or the Pioneer village. There is so much to do here. I was a season pass holder for many years until I moved away in 2017. But I still love to bike the trail around the lake at least once a year. It is a fantastic park.

Do the entire 21 Kilometers to get the best of it. At a normal pace, it will take 4 hours but if you are new to hiking, spare 6 hours for the whole loop.

Beautiful park. Sites are spacious. Make sure your site is grassy. If its dirt and it rains, be ready for *some* mud. How muddy depends on how much rain.

It's really nice here! Great trails well maintained, it would be nice if the hikers and bikers didn't have to share the same trail. You can get some obnoxious bikers almost running you over on the lake trail(speaking from personal experience). The Dam is neat. Also Fanshawe Pioneer Village is awesome for some local history.

Just looked at their website. $44 for waste disposal? Wow, and registering fees? All about money, well buh bye!
