We visited the state park on a Thursday. We arrive around noon so we couldn’t check-in to our campsite. We decided to drive around and see what it had to offer. We were completely surprised at how big the park is. Once 2 o’clock came we headed back to the visitor center and checked in. Our campsite was spacious. Dry camping only, in our loop. There was a bathhouse and toilets centrally located.

This state park is absolutely gorgeous! The lake is stunning, and the swimming was awesome—such a perfect spot to cool off and enjoy the outdoors. The campgrounds are spacious, clean, and really well-maintained, which made the whole experience even better. Everything about the park feels cared for and inviting. I would highly recommend visiting, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great State Park with several campgrounds within. Each has clean bathrooms and hot showers. More than 40+ miles of trails for fun hiking and mountain biking. The lake is beautiful for kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and boating. Love it.

Farragut State Park is a hidden gem! We went for a light hike through some peaceful, scenic trails that were easy to enjoy without being too strenuous. Afterward, we headed into nearby Bayview and grabbed some delicious pizza—perfect post-hike fuel. The highlight of the day was the boat ride on the lake. The weather was perfect, and the views were absolutely stunning. We spent a couple of hours soaking up the sun and admiring the natural beauty. The best part? We actually got to watch an eagle hunting—such an unforgettable moment. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a mix of outdoor adventure and relaxing nature vibes. Can't wait to come back!

We came here to cool off. It was beautiful and we were able to find a little place of our own to go into the lake. There were a lot of yellow jacket hornets flying around.

This State Park holds a lot of very important history for our nation. The testing that took place here in Northern Idaho and within this magnificent Lake are mind-boggling. This lake is the 5th deepest lake in the US and the longest among the lakes in Northern Idaho at 43 miles and an astounding depth of 1158 ft. Although the base has been closed, testing of submarines still takes place in this picturesque setting. It's a great place to stop if you're in the area. As always, leave no trace, leave it better than you found it, and enjoy 😉.

Great state park with different types of camping sites, from primitive tent sized spots, to full hookup RV sites. Great shower houses with an abundance of hot water. An abundance of things to do as well, all outdoors!!

We were able to get a reservation at Snowberry loop and we were so excited. We love the check in process and the park staff was amazing and helpful. The camp hosts in our loop were really great. We had the best pull thru site with water and electric. It was such a private site that we didn't see any other campers when sitting under our awning. The bathrooms were a short walk and were very clean. The showers were great as well. They are free, which was a plus. There are 2 dump stations in the park. They have several day use areas and a lot of hiking trails. We will need to go back since we didn't hike as many of the trails due to the really high temperatures that we had while there. The is a store just off the 95 of you need supplies and there is a really nice gas station in the same area. It was so quiet at night. You could hear the kids in other parts of the campground during the day but at night, they were very quiet. The trees have plenty of shade and most of the sites were spaced out enough. We will definitely be back.

Farragut State Park is a great place to go for camping or hiking. Lots of trails with views of the lake. The day use area had large covered picnic areas with horse shoe pits and volley ball nets nearby. Lots of room for many people to gather together. There were swings for younger kids to play on too. Camping cabins were also real close to the day use area. The cabins appeared to be fairly new and well maintained. A note on the cabin said that the cabins has been cleaned after each use. Each cabin had its own fire pit and picnic table. The cabins also had electric lights and an air conditioner. No bathroom inside the cabin, but a bathroom facility was a short walk from the cabins. The only issue would be if someone had to get up during the night it would be a little walk in the dark. There were close trails near the day use area that were well maintained. Very beautiful spot.
