Ferry Island Municipal Campground is a great mix of convenience and nature. It’s just a few minutes from downtown Terrace, but once you’re on the island it feels tucked away. The sites are spacious and shaded, with both serviced and non-serviced options. The trail around the island is a highlight—easy walking, with neat tree carvings hidden along the way that make it fun to explore. Being right on the Skeena River, you also get some beautiful views and a calm atmosphere. Facilities are basic but well-kept, and the campground has a friendly, community feel. It’s especially nice for families or anyone looking for a quiet stay close to town.

We spent another fabulous summer vacation at Ferry Island campground. As usual Shannon and Mitch and family were awesome. They go out of their way to make sure everyone has the best camping experience possible!! We look forward to our trip there and to seeing them every year. They make a great place even better!! Thank you!! Dennis and Cheryl

Since I picked this place for the shower, I'll say it was reasonabley clean. The water was hot and plentiful. The picnic table at the campsite was was filthy and rotting. At $26.05, the campground is sorely deficient to all of the Provincial sites where the fee is $22. But then, they don't have showers. I could have paid $3 at the municipal pool and wild camped. But, I didn't. Last point (pun not intended),the outhouses have needle drop boxes but no hand sanitizer. Make your own conclusion.

Okay, even though I didn't actually pitch my tent there, I recently took a walk around Fairy Island Campground, and let me tell you, this place absolutely deserves a five-star review. It looks like a truly wonderful place to camp! What immediately struck me was how much it felt like a complete escape. You honestly wouldn't be able to tell that you're on an island in the middle of the city. It gives you the full-on nature effect, which is incredible for how accessible it is. The campground itself looks fantastic. There were plenty of spaces available when I was there, and it seemed like campers were mostly concentrated on the south end, which tells me the rest of the island offers even more solitude. The sites themselves appear very spacious and private, giving you that true wilderness feel without being miles from amenities. And the sound of the raging river beside it just adds to that immersive natural ambiance. If you're looking for a camping spot that combines convenience with a genuine, wild feel, Fairy Island looks like the absolute perfect choice.

Stopped for a night ( was supposed to be 10) and it is Beautiful!!! Great size spaces and level, nice n Shady with just enough sun peeking Through. Perfect dog policies (on AND off leash) great trails, fun playground (well maintained) for the littles too. The Staff (Shanon & others) were so accommodating and Nice. We made the mistake of not asking the right questions regarding our stay and they did their very Best to help us out. Wish we could have stayed a lot longer.

This park is remarkable. Right in town. Beautiful trails to walk and enjoy. Bring some food and drink as you will probably want to see and walk the whole island. Very easy walking for all ages.

The tenting areas aren't just gravel! There are nice grassy/mossy spots to pitch a tent. There are showers and hiking trails. Close to downtown and fishing spots. This place has it all. I will definitely be coming back
