My husband and I recently stayed for a fall weekend vacation at fireside campground. It was located close to the attractions that we wanted to visit. We were so pleasantly surprised at how nice the campground was. We enjoyed the biking trails around the campground and also one across the street. The owners were very friendly and helpful sharing information about the area and things to see. They had activities for adults and kids, It was fun to watch the kids trick or treat. The campsites were clean and well maintained. Over all a very nice campground.

Our first excursion in our new camper, we had a lot to learn. Cal and Donna (the owners/operators) were incredible. Kind and helpful, Cal even gave a few much needed pointers to make our setup easier. The permanent campers (as well as the temps like us) at the facility were friendly and polite. No late night shenanigans after 9 that we could hear, even though the stated quiet time begins at 1030pm. The restroom and shower facilities were incredibly clean. Would love to get over there again!

Stayed over for a night on our way back from canoeing... we were only there for 12 hours but from the minute we parked i was thoroughly impressed. Rain had washed out some of the tent sites and even before we got their they knew this and had other options planned for us. Even at that the "washed out" site we opted to keep was nicer than our typical sites we stay in. We like state/county/national in part for the privacy, the tent sites here still provide that private feel while offering an ABUNDANCE of permanent play options for kids of all ages and a thorough list of events. We did not have the kids with us this time, but this may be the first commercial campground we return to just to be able to bring the kids with.

Our stay was 7-24 - 7-27. We had a fantastic stay at this campground! The owners were friendly and welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch—firewood and ice were delivered right to our site. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and peaceful. We stayed in a pull-thru site with full hookups and had such a great experience that we’ve already booked another long weekend for October. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
