First Monday Trade Days RV Park

Overview

The First Monday Trade Days RV Park serves as the premier base camp for visitors attending one of the largest and oldest outdoor flea markets in the United States. Located directly on the grounds in Canton, Texas, this facility offers unparalleled convenience for those who want to be in the heart of the action. It operates as a functional, well-managed hub where travelers can rest between long days of exploring thousands of unique vendors and local artisans. The on-site location eliminates the need for daily commuting through market traffic.

Location & Surroundings

Situated in the rolling hills of East Texas, the park is embedded within the massive flea market complex. While the atmosphere is relatively quiet during off-weeks, it transforms into a bustling, vibrant community during market weekends. The surrounding landscape features patches of shade trees and expansive open spaces, providing a classic Texas countryside backdrop for your stay. You are just steps away from the various shopping loops and civic centers that make this destination famous across the country.

Amenities & Park Features

The park is designed with modern RV needs in mind, featuring full hookups including 30 and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer. Travelers can choose between various sites that are generally level and easy to navigate for larger setups. On-site facilities include clean restrooms and showers, which are a welcome amenity after a full day of walking the grounds. The park is also pet-friendly, allowing you to bring your four-legged companions along to enjoy the local Texas atmosphere and outdoor environment.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

The main attraction is undoubtedly the First Monday Trade Days, where shoppers find everything from antiques and collectibles to home decor and clothing. Outside of market weekends, visitors can explore the charming downtown Canton area or cool off at the nearby Splash Kingdom Waterpark. For nature enthusiasts, Lake Tawakoni and Cedar Creek Lake offer excellent fishing and boating opportunities just a short drive away, while local Texas backroads provide scenic drives through the beautiful Piney Woods region.

Who This Park Is Best For

This park is the ideal choice for dedicated shoppers and treasure hunters who prioritize proximity and ease of access to the market. It is perfect for those traveling in big rigs who need reliable utility connections while staying directly on the fairgrounds. If you enjoy a lively social atmosphere surrounded by fellow collectors and enthusiasts, this park offers a unique sense of community and convenience that you simply won't find at standard highway stopovers or remote campgrounds.

Been a long time and FYI have to reserve carts before you get there. The mountain and that whole area is 90% closed. So just the main area is still open. Soo crowded. Everything closes by 5. Get there early, eat at 11. After 11 there will be a 30 minute wait everywhere. The app is horrible, doesn't show where you are and no search function. BUT, got some really good deals and unique finds.

This place has so much to do, you’re guaranteed a full days worth of activity and walking through all the vendors. Great for people who enjoy flea markets like me, not great for people who don’t want to walk a ton. Love it!

I have a booth in walkway by the creek in Pavilion III. Have lived in Canton 30 years and had a booth 25. You can find all kinds of things! Love the people I have met over the years both vendors and customers ❤️

We loved it!! So many great finds, it was hard to decide what to fit in the car. Great selection of food, plenty of parking, and just about everything available for purchase. Love to support local artists and craftspeople and they are ALL HERE.
