Arrived at 1pm on a busy Thurs and found a site by the water. Private campgrounds were all full. Stayed for three days. Pros: cheapest rate on the spit. Spectacular bay view, fire rings, credit card kisosk check in. Trash dumpsters. Dump station and fresh water fill available. Cons: $30/night dry camping. Sites are not level, especially waterfront sites. Area is not policed, so you get potluck neighbors a couple feet away. First night was fine, next two featured constant generators running and a fight between two groups over dogs. It is okay im a pinch, but next time we will make reservations to upgrade to a hookup park.

The campground is open gravel parking lot. It does overlook the water on one side. Spaces near the waterfront are far from level. No amenities. Busy with traffic in and around.

This is an unlevel parking lot that you’re paying $30 to use. Other campers and their dogs were loud all night. The scenery is beautiful and you’re in the middle of all the action on the spit.

Parking on a lined gravel lot, mostly nice wide and level sites. They are set up 40+ ft long, but no problem if you're pulling a trailer (we're 65' ). We were told by the City run lot we might be asked to put our trailer in the trailer lot if they filled up, it's free. Water available $5 to fill, $15 to dump, $30 a night with no hookup & you still pay to empty/fill. Pay kiosks onsite, lot's rent start at 2pm, so make sure you come in or renew after 2pm. Lot is patrolled several times daily, and they look for your receipt displayed in the windshield.

We live up the hill from here, and we often mesmerize the beauty of small town Homer. Fishing hole and my avid husband fisherman expertise never fail to fill our freezer with delicious Kings and Silver Salmon every summer.

Great place to camp. Quiet at night but best to arrive before nightfall as it gets super dark to see where the pay booth is. First time being out on the spit and was amazing view

Fun place, reasonably priced, eagles everywhere, and right next to the fishing hole. Enjoy this great family location.

Beautiful views. It’s $20 for tent and RV alike. The park hosts were nice and friendly. The camping areas had a picnic table. They had flushable toilets. No shower facility. The sportsman store next to the camping location offered $7 showers. On the hindsight, homer spit ground has beautiful views too, pricey sites ($35), but cheaper showers ($1). So if y’all are a party of two or more, homer spit ground is a better option.

Its super busy but most campgrounds on the spit are. They have a pavillion over looking the water, public restrooms, and a fish cleaning station, as well as an rv dump station. Access to the beach and fishing hole is a plus, and its within walking distance to restaurants and shops(if you are a good walker, like I was just fine but my grand parents couldn't have done it). Over all an good place to camp on the spit
