We just hiked the trails, and the longer trail is really nice. It also provides a nice geological history of the area, complete with ice sheet reconstructions! Really cool stuff! Bugs were pretty thick in the spring. But a really nice walk. The shorter hike is also a nice little bioligical/ecological learning hike along the river.

Nice park considering how close it is to Ottawa. I've stayed at the Pine Grove campground twice. Sites vary a lot - some very nice sites beside the river, some open, grassy sites along the far road. Privacy varies a lot. The comfort station is nice and pretty clean. The two outhouses are not terrible but can get quite smelly at times and the smell can waft over areas of the campground depending on the wind. Some sites in the Two Rivers campground are on the Ottawa River but with views of the massive hydroelectric dam. Sites are not cleaned well between campers. I spent 20 min picking up small pieces of garbage and cigarette butts from my site when I arrived. The beach is large with nice, soft sand. There are some weeds that have floated in but no weeds growing in the beach area. The water gets quite deep before the buoy line. It gets very busy on weekends with people coming in for the day. Behind the beach is a large grassy area with lots of trees and picnic tables and a lot of groups camp out here for the day and have barbecues. As a result, the beach itself is not very crowded. You can rent boats. The area to paddle in is nice but limited unless you go into the Ottawa River where the current may be strong due to the hydro electric dam. The hiking trails are very nice, though short at 0.75 and 1.5 km. Morris Island Conservation Area is a short drive away and offers more extensive trails, though parking is $7. The store serves ice cream cones and sells some groceries and a lot of items that you may have forgotten to bring. They even had a camp stove. Hours were quite limited in September, closing at 3:30 pm on weekdays. There are a ton of deer. I saw five just in or around the campground. This campground gives the illusion of wilderness. In actuality, it is very close to farmland and Fitzroy Harbour residential area. If there's construction or someone using a chainsaw, you can hear it. You can also hear traffic noise at times.

Fitzroy Provincial Park is a serene camping destination situated at the confluence of the Carp River and the Ottawa River. The campgrounds, Pine Grove and Two Rivers, welcome visitors from Spring to Fall on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. This park is truly exceptional! Our spacious Electric RV site provided ample room. The nature trails are fantastic, including a shorter one suitable for young children. The Terrace Trail, a delightful 1.9-km loop, offered us a thoroughly enjoyable walking experience. While the beach is on the smaller side, it's conveniently within walking distance of the trails, rivers, The washroom facilities are impressive – the best we've encountered in the region. The calm water is perfect for those interested in exploring various water sports. Don't miss the excellent park store, and be sure to treat yourself to some ice cream at the campground store. Overall, this park is an excellent choice for a family picnic, camping trip, or a leisurely hike along the flowing water stream. The restrooms is very clean, the park is well-maintained with clear signage, and our experience was undeniably positive.

We visited for a walk through the falls trail. There are not many to offer, but they are very nice and not difficult. However, I recommend you keep your eyes on the trails while moving due to the roots that can catch the unsuspecting toe. There are areas that are steep, but only a few and very short. The trail took us about an hour to complete at a leisurely pace, stopping to watch squirrels and birds along the way. Visiting in late August, the waterfalls were just mud with no trickle of water to be seen. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the scenery and the walk.

This is a very lovely park. One of the busier parks that I have been to for the provincial parks this year. Lots of signage to warn people of the ticks in the area, but surprisingly didn't see any and went on a few paths that were off trail. Great place to bring the kids for a day of fishing or swimming at the public beach. Nice variety of camp spots. Lots of great spots to fish. For an added treat, the pizza place in Fitzroy Harbour will deliver to you camp site.
