Been here four times. Nice looking campground, but I can only address the fishing, since I only came here to TRY and catch trout. I usually catch lots of fish (catch & release/fly fishing) if there are fish in the waters. Despite this lake supposedly being stocked by CPW just two days prior, we caught nothing and saw no signs of fish activity. Many others were shore-fishing, but none had caught anything. Pretty location but consistently disappointing for catching fish.

We love this area and the spaces they have available. From the views of the drive in, to the peacefulness of the campground and surrounding areas, it's always such a welcoming place to unplug, relax, and unwind. We appreciate seeing children and animals enjoy the area but also having space to enjoy children and pet free space if one wanted to do so. We loved watching the wildlife walk through our tent site and frolic in the fields. Such a peaceful place to visit. We will be back again.

Do not reserve site 13. It's a very strange layout. The other spaces are excellent and the campground is nice.

What a great spot. Amazing views and the sites are reasonably spread out with a bunch right on the lake. There's some kind of construction going on at the top of the dam and I can hear construction vehicles, even at night. But I assume that is a temporary thing. Cell service is spotty but I can get slow 4g with Verizon most of the time.

We had no idea this campground existed, and we are happy we stumbled on it. We camped for three nights and had a blast. The campground was small, with only 27 spots. There was a pier for fishing and picnic shelters. The bathrooms were clean, and we were close enough to town that getting ice was no problem. We hiked, fished, and enjoyed the amazing sunsets. We will be back next year for sure.
