Fogarty Creek RV Park

Overview

Fogarty Creek RV Park offers a serene coastal retreat tucked away in a lush, wooded setting just north of Depoe Bay. Unlike the bustling resort-style parks found elsewhere, this location emphasizes a quiet and natural atmosphere where the sound of the ocean breeze filters through the trees. It serves as an ideal basecamp for exploring the central Oregon Coast, providing a balanced mix of modern convenience and rustic charm. Visitors often remark on the clean air and the rhythmic sound of the waves, making it a favorite for those who appreciate the outdoors.

Location & Surroundings

The park is situated directly across from the Fogarty Creek State Recreation Area, granting guests easy access to scenic beach trails and tide pools via a short walk. The surrounding landscape is characterized by towering evergreens and coastal foliage, offering a sense of privacy and seclusion. The park's layout maximizes the natural terrain, allowing the coastal forest to act as a buffer between the highway and the campsites. Being just a short drive from the heart of Depoe Bay, visitors can easily transition from a secluded forest environment to the world’s smallest navigable harbor in minutes.

Amenities & Park Features

Each site is designed with traveler comfort in mind, featuring full hookups with 30 and 50-amp service. The park provides paved pads that accommodate a variety of rig sizes, alongside essential facilities like clean restrooms, showers, and laundry services. Guests can stay connected with cable TV and Wi-Fi, ensuring that the rustic location does not mean sacrificing modern necessities during a multi-day stay. The sites are notably spacious, allowing for easy maneuvering of larger motorhomes while maintaining a cozy feel for smaller campers.

Nearby Attractions & Things to Do

Nature lovers will appreciate being within walking distance of the beach for whale watching or shell hunting. A short trip south leads to Depoe Bay, famous for its resident gray whales and deep-sea fishing charters. Heading north, travelers can explore the shopping and dining of Lincoln City. The park’s proximity to the Pacific Coast Highway makes it a perfect starting point for day trips to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse or local seafood markets where you can find the fresh catch of the day.

Who This Park Is Best For

This destination is perfect for couples and solo travelers seeking a peaceful escape from the more crowded coastal tourist traps. It appeals to those who prioritize a clean, well-organized park over high-energy resort activities. If your travel style involves quiet evenings by a campfire and mornings spent exploring rugged shorelines, this park provides the tranquil environment you need to recharge during an Oregon Coast road trip. It is also an excellent choice for those who value being just steps away from state park hiking trails.

I've been living here a little over 5 years now. The new park manager's Val & Willie are a great addition to the park. Valerie is so nice and friendly to everyone. Willie is the sort of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. Today is the 3rd day of my move to a different rv spot and the battery in my truck went dead. Willie loaned me battery. Before I knew it, he had installed the battery. Wow, what a guy. Thank you Val & Willie.

We are living here for now, I like the park, space's could be a little bit bigger. We have a bath house, and a laundry room on site. And in good proximity to new port, and Lincoln City, and we are 2 to 3 miles north of the sea wall in Depoe bay. We can hear the ocean, but not see it. We are on the east side of 101. If your looking for a place for your RV on a month to month this is a good place call and get your name on the waiting list.

Me and my fiance have been living in the park for about 3 months now. Ralph (one of the managers) goes out of his way to answer any questions or help out the best he can. We've been traveling for the last 2 years and stayed in too many rv parks and campgrounds to count, but this is definitely on the top of our list. Prime location between lincoln city and Newport, miles of beautiful oregon coast you could spend years exploring. Fogarty state park aswell as fishing rock state park are both less then a 5 minute walk. Laundry room, men and women bathrooms with several nice tiled showers. 30 and 50 amp hook ups. Plenty of parking for several vehicles. If your looking for an rv park to call home in a awesome area check out FOGARTY CREEK RV PARK!
