This place looks very nice because there really isn't any other large body of water around . but the 15 bucks to park is expensive. The cheapest yearly pass is about 125. Kinda expensive too . I knocked off two stars for the price and also. Because of a few things. signs clearly state No dogs on the beach. But there's plenty of people that disregard the sign. Also broken glass on the beach. You should not take your shoes off. The path to walk is nice. But also to many people . These a lot of bike riders that go off in the dirt path. So it's annoying to have to nice cause of the narrow path. I want to check a different part of the lake, but this one isn't worth it

A beautifully maintained and easily accessible lake. We went to the El Dorado entry and spent $12 to get in and parking was plentiful. We saw people on jet skis, paddle boats and boats as well as dogs swimming in the lake and didn't have any issues except for tiny little baby red spiders everywhere on the picnic table but we managed. The Sheriff's Dept did a drive-by once in the four hours we were there and they did start gathering once the sun went down because the park closed at sundown. There was an outhouse that was stocked with appropriate toiletries but no place to wash your hands so bring soap or wipes.

Fun place to hang out with friends and family! Loved the weather on the day we went. Not too hot, with a nice breeze by the Lake. Decent amount of benches, restroom facilities, etc.

We love Folsom Lake, great for a fun day with the family. The fishing is decent on most days and the water is a great temperature this time of year. We love taking out dogs there and letting them swim and fetch in the water for hours. They're always excited when they realize we're going to the lake.

Super comfortable place with a beautiful nature! Very beautiful deers, wild turkeys, geese and even heard of coyotes. The stars here are much brighter than in the city. The air is great! I was amazed that there were no mosquitoes!!!! We had met beautiful lizards. The shower there for quarters - 5 pieces equals 10 minutes of hot water. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a vacation.
