I stayed here a night after spending the previous night at a back country site in the park. Peaceful setting with hot water shower and clean camp sites. Saw a Bald Eagle flying down the tail race!

We camped here over the weekend, most sites come with a 120 outlet, 30 amp RV hook up, and a water spout. The bath houses are ok, need to be updated. Wifi available throughout the campsite and resort as a whole. There a gas station, general store, and a restaurant all on the Fontana resort that guest have access too. Apparently the general store is open 24/7. It was $70 per night per camp site which too me seems a little steep. Overall, we would stay here again.

Bathrooms are a little dated and beat up. For a standard campground it's pretty decent and clean. It's a nice setting at the bottom of the Dam and nice to see at night. Even more humid than the surrounding area though. I recommend a cold plunge if the water isn't flowing too fast. Reasonable price and the Resort seemed willing to provide free rides quite easily, but don't count on it necessarily. The paid shuttle is convenient as well during operating hours if you don't have a vehicle. Wifi was nice to have given limited service in area.

Nice camping facility, pet friendly. Tent camping as well as trailer hook ups. More tent than trailer spots. Concrete pad with concrete picnic table. Women's bathhouse has 2 toilets and 1 shower. It IS in the mountains.... so watch for bear, rattlesnakes, skunks, copperheads, raccoons, etc. Don't leave food out!

The bathrooms are more than wanting.... Zero privacy and every morning i had to fix one of the women's toilets so it would flush. My husband says there's been no paper towels the whole visit in the men's room. The bathrooms are clean enough for what they are. But we use them as little as possible. The staff themselves have been fantastic. I mean absolutely fantastic. We had to dig out our fire pit, all of the firepits are that way- full of ash. We are staying here 10 days. There's no one enforcing anything so people are letting their dogs go in other people's campsites and not picking up and our neighbors are smoking pot and screaming all-the-time. At one point the cops were called on a very serious domestic violence at one site :( The place is a BEAUTIFUL location, beautiful. And it was wonderful being here during the week when it was quiet. We have full access to the ammenties at the resort which is wonderful as well. The RV sites on the side are very spacious and they have kept the grass mowed very short which is very nice. The site gets full sun after 11:30am and then it's early sundown, so I'll not sure why someone was complaining about the sun... Please make the bathroom cleaner, working and more private. And those complaining about wifi service... Can you not live without internet for 5 minutes? Update*** After what happened at the campground and talking with management we are dropping our rating. That there is ANY tolerance for campers who act like what happened last night is despicable. The cops were called at one point and showed up after some campers at a site were screaming, FULL ON screaming in a drunkin rage going at each other: "I'm going to kill you this time you F***** S** O* A B****! I get you with a knife, i swear to God! Get your hands off me!" That's just a snippet of what everyone including my children heard. My kids were TERRIFIED. We asked management in the morning if they would please ask them to leave and they said only if they do it again tonight. I just lost all respect.... There should be ZERO tolerance for that. Ruins this beautiful location
