Booked Oct 14, 2023 & requested site 26 where we have stayed previously. Rec'd confirmation. Arrived June 30th to find they had put us in Site 1. It is a nice site BUT the 30 Amp breaker was tripping even with one appliance on. The neighbours said the previous folks had nothing but trouble. We spoke to the manager who said he was aware of the issue & admitted he was negligent in not getting it fixed. The moved us to site 23 which is very cramped, can't open awning & little space for truck. He said you can park across the road. We had to disconnect everthing hook up the trailer & reconnect. We asked for some compensation for HIS mistake & they offered $15. We told them to keep it as we were insulted & disappointed we did not get the site THEY confirmed. The sap from the trees was sticky & thick as molasses on the truck every morning so we moved to "across the road", after 2 car washes. We were challenged on Friday, July 12, to move our truck back to our site as the parking was needed for the tenters coming in. I told him about the sap issue & he said, " if you come back I'll make sure they cut all the trees down". Very rude & we have no idea why someone like this is dealing with the public. We moved the truck, but Saturday morning, with the truck again covered with sap there were still 4 open spots "across the road". Forewarned is forearmed.

This is an RV park for those passing through or spending a few nights in Diamond Valley. There are some nice sites with grass but those are taken by seasonal people. The other sites are course gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. Full hookups with 50 amp service are conveniently located. The weekend we stayed there were pipeline workers with multiple campers on each site. Except for the occasional Harley firing up at 5:30 am it was relatively quiet. The washroom was clean. There is an outdoor sink for tent campers to wash dishes. There is a laundry room. The hosts were very nice. We visited Amy Marshall’s (Heartland) store and we’re lucky enough to see Heartland filming in High River. My wife met, and had photos taken with Shaun Johnston (Jack). It was the highlight of our stay. We had a view of the southern sky and got great Dish reception. The campground WiFi was good enough to stream Netflix and YouTube. Verizon cell service was good. One side of the property felt like a campground, the other side, where we stayed, was a gravel parking lot. There was grass behind our site for our dog but it was full of sticker plants. We had to pull a thorn from her pad.

Ok, it's one step up from a parking lot, but the people are friendly and they took us in on Canada Day weekend when everything was full. The town is very walkable and has lots of fun shops. Bathrooms are clean and warm. I love the fact that the campground is a non-profit, run by the Lions Club, all proceeds are folded back into the local community.

Wonderful campground, amazing seasonal hosts that were very helpful! We stayed in site #44. Cost was $40/night FH access to showers with on demand water heaters. Quiet even though off road. Fire station near and small markets that you can walk too. Will definitely be back again!
