My only complaint is that if you're going to say you're handicap accessible, make it truly accessible.. going up a grass covered hill to get to the bathroom is only technically accessible.. most would have a hard time getting to the bathroom.. and the "handicap" parking spot isn't paved and is also up the hill..also the "accessible" beach is the same issue. It's down an extremely rutted and uneven grass strip.. if you're going to be accessible, be truly accessible and add a path, paved or one of the roll paths like they have at Lexington Beach. The camp sites and once you get to the beach are absolutely beautiful.. the views are stunning from the boardwalk. One of the things I really didn't understand is they had a ramp on the boardwalk, but it ended in 6 stairs to finish getting to the beach. Not much point in the ramp when it ends in stairs..

Great location on Lake Huron. County run park with walking access to the beach. Wide lots. Park includes access to playground. Met the new park manager who seemed open to making changes including firewood delivery. Only issue is the lack of parkwide wifi. Available near the office so you'll need your own Hotspot for streaming. We were able to get 4G cell service. Limited wifi was not listed on the website, only that it is day time use.

I did a one night stay with my sister and the kiddo's. Our camp neighbors were so friendly and willing to help us out...Thanks for the firewood!! The beach was a beautiful sandy/rocky beach that was not totally packed. The views of the moon over the water were stunning!!! I plan on going back this weekend too! It was a blast. We are tent campers and I thought it was amazing given how close to home it is.

Forester Campground has great potential because of its excellent location right on Lake Huron, but several issues made our stay less enjoyable. The campsites themselves are inconsistent some are spacious and nice, but many are small, uneven and, sandy and could really use fresh gravel. During our stay, it rained each night and much of the campground flooded, leaving large muddy, swampy areas. Some sites seem to be occupied by long-term campers with cluttered setups, and noise at night was an issue. The bathhouses were disappointing, dirty and sandy, with frustrating push-button showers that were either cold or scalding hot. There didn’t seem to be any real management presence on-site. Check-in was impersonal and we weren’t given any information or guidance. No on-site laundry and nothing nearby to do for family fun or food for rainy days. The playground itself is nice but was taken over in the evenings by local teens smoking weed and swearing, making it uncomfortable for families. The beach is close but poorly maintained, with a lot of debris. Istepped on a stick that lodged in my leg while walking. It’s also unclear what’s public vs private beach, one neighbor came out multiple times asking people to leave "her beach." Overall, a beautiful location but the property and management need work to match its potential.

Had a great time there this past 4th of July. Only issues we had were uncontrollable from the campground. Power went out twice for a few hours and absolutely no cell service. All the employees were very friendly and being that close to the beach was nice for the kids.

I stayed here over this weekend, very nice park, staff very nice and friendly. Lake and play area was very beautiful. Only problem I had was the bathroom/showers need more attention and cleaned more. Also, someone had the sewage open, and we kept getting a whiff of it while sitting around our fire, chased us inside, but then woke us up in the middle of the night with the smell in our camper. Next time we stay, going to stay on the side where there no sewage.

My childhood campgrounds is growing up. It has changed so much. We had a lovely time on the beach. The park is now so modern and really well kept. Take cash for the lil store if you want ice cream.

We just camped here for 4 nights. The facilities are clean and well cared for. There's a great new playground and the beach was wonderful. I recommend water shoes because it's a bit rocky but my kids loved it.

This park is a hidden gem. We have a 33 foot travel trailer and stayed on a full hookup site for $35! There's a cute little store that sells ice cream and plays projector movies for the kids. The playground is on a bluff overlooking the water. There are lots of trees for shade. The beach is nice and sandy. When we were there, the waves were pretty high and the kids had a blast. We rented the pavilion for a family party and it came with a charcoal grill.

The campground wasn't large but it was perfect. They have full hook ups and it's right on Lake Huron which was a beauty to look at. We enjoyed skipping stones in the lake. The campground wasn't too noisy other than children and families having fun. There weren't any obnoxiously loud people. The site came with a fire ring and a picnic table. There is wifi at the office which we appreciated so we could research the area before going out to explore. I felt my children were safe when they went off on bike rides or to the beach because everyone obeyed the speed limit.

Our go to campground. It's close to home and it's right on the water. But in order to get descent side you have to book in Jan. Very clean, quiet and great rocks on the beach.

Spent a wonderful weekend at the Lake Huron shore for a quiet camp experience. Our family very much enjoyed our stay and would like to return again. Neighbors were cordial and friendly. No problems at all. Beautiful grounds and plenty of activities - just bring equipment: bball, horseshoes, volleyball, soccer, bucket & shovels too.

Love that this camp is by a river and Lake Huron. Lots of beautiful rocks to pick up. It was very quiet when we were there. We loved that. Also they have a lot of full hook up sites!!

Very nice park right on Lake Huron. Boardwalk to the beach. Bathhouse for showering up while camping or after a swim. Friendly staff. Small sparsely stocked convenience store with ice cream service. Beautiful rotunda for reunions.

Throughout the years since 1975 Forrester Park campground has been a nice place to visit. Bring Everything you'll need to make this a Better stay. Store hours and selection are sub par. They do have Great ice cream Still and bags of ice which made it worthwhile. Ensure when you book you keep your receipt. While enjoying a town visit our cabin locks were changed, this was an Embarrassing error on their office clerks part but belittling to my family. The beach and park are lovely, the park cleaners are friendly. This is Not the same park we've been to for all these years. The bathroom and showers are Great next to the playground, but somewhat Dated in the older area. If we come back we'll bring our own coffee or be prepared to drive to the gas station North of the park. Local fire wood South of campground at $3/bundle. The pavilion area was under construction and usually there is Welcome activity at the horseshoe pits or volleyball area. Get it together Forrester Staff, make this the Campground of Old.
