We were greeted by a staff member saying the office closed at 12 and we needed to hurry up and get inside to check in. Upon arrival to the office, we see a sign that says check-in is at 12 o’clock. When we get to the counter, she said it’s a $15 extra fee for early check-in and check-in is at 1 o’clock however, the office is closed from 12 to 2. So you either have to pay for the “early check in” or wait until the office reopens. Overall, we did not feel welcome in this park. The sites were very narrow and we had difficulty finding a spot to park our truck in our site. The site was pretty uneven as well. We had to put 4 blocks under our fully extended steps. The roads were pretty narrow so it was a good thing there wasn’t a trailer across from us so we could make a very wide turn. Luckily, we were only there for one night.

Just finishing up a month stay at the Wellington KOA. Firstly, site and property maintenance are 10/10! The staff is super kind and meticulous with their care. They are fully invested in the park, and it shows. Saltwater pool closed for the season on the day we arrived, but I don’t swim anyway. There is a covered community grill and pergola, a play park, day room and walking trail. The only negative is the manure smell that invades the park, daily. It smells quite ‘farmy’ most days, as it’s a rural area. Overall, we loved our time here. 10/10 would rec!

We stayed in a pull through spot just overnight. We did not hook up to water pressure or sewage. The site was level. Bathrooms were clean. Although not a dig, but the roads were extremely skinny, especially coming into the park so those of us who have the 40 foot motor coaches with a tow behind makes it a little challenging to get in, but it’s doable. Staff was extremely friendly. We had to help a couple find their spot since each one of the roads are named after an animal, and those markings are only displayed at the end of the street not at the beginning of the street, which was kind of odd. We will be going back.

Rented a cabin for a few nights. It was a great experience. My kids are older and they loved the pickle ball and quad pong. The place has plenty of amenities a great camper kitchen, and the people are so kind there. Yes you can smell cows if the wind switches, and i70 you can hear kinda, so location is not perfect but it is a great campground.

Other than the occasional blast of cow manure smell from cows nearby, depending on the direction of the wind, it is a nice place to stay. The grounds are well kept, staff is friendly and the amenities are simple but nice. If you’re expecting a KOA in a forest, based on the pics, then you’ll be disappointed. They have well placed nice trees, but it’s nowhere near the forest. We enjoyed our few days of stay and the location was good for accessing the Rocky Mountains area.

It is conveniently located between Fort Collins, Colorado, the same way they had a lot of spaces. And it is well maintained between and they're, they have full service hookups, for your rv.

The people here are extremely nice and go out of their way to be sure you have a great stay. I would give 100 stars if i could. Some of the campground is outdated but they have alot of renovations they are doing this summer and have already started them. They are right off the freeway and are far enough from freeway that you don't hear the traffic. They are cheaper then Lakeside and they don't raise your rates like the other place does also. I highly recommend Wellington KOA!!!!

I stayed at this KOA as a long term resident, and witnessed a change in management that brought about a lot of growth for the campground. It is kept very tidy, the restrooms and laundry room were always spotless. The dog park is a nice touch too. Most importantly, the staff and other long term residents are genuine, down to earth, good human beings that I am glad to have met. They are friendly, understanding, and willing to go the extra mile for the customer.

This place is awesome!! They treat folks like humans and not a paycheck!! Kids as well, and kid prone to problems are no problem, they will immediately contact the parent if they see anything going on that could be a problem. Unlike some KOA'S I have stay at in the past. The staff is warm and friendly and the park it's self is very clean and maintained. I have stayed here twice now, and have never had a problem with any one here, and my kids love it because they can be kids. I will most definitely will stay here again, and I recommend to anyone that wants a family environment like a KOA should be to come here! We love, 5 stars, lol. I'd give them more if i could. The manger is down to earth and loves kids and may help you out if your in a tight spot if she can. I can't say enough good things about my stay here.. It's all good 👍 Keep it up Wellington KOA😉 also others complain about the cow smell. But thats don't bother me none, it's called country air! Good back to the smog filled city and traffic if it's so unpleasant to smell nature 👍

Bathrooms and showers are decently clean. There are 3 private bathroom/showers, but they close them up at 8pm. The 24hr bathroom has 3 stalls, and 2 showers. Nice and quiet place that is very family friendly. Easy to pull into each slot, and well maintained facility. There is a feed lot right down the road so the cow manure smell can travel to the campground. If you're used to livestock, it's no big deal. If you've never been around livestock, it'll probably bother you. I didn't find it overpowering, but I'm used to being around cows.

The spaces are a little close, but, we've just been doing State and COE campgrounds.

We booked 2 days for our KOA appreciation weekend. Well it was not exactly relaxing. The spot next to us had a broke down vehicle with a homeless family living there. They kept a fridge a air conditioner running all day and then at night a BRIGHT light from their electric pole shining all night long. No seeing the stars even if you tried. We took a shower in unisex bathroom and then when we came back to use it later the door was locked and we were direct to use other ones. Most of the sites here are taken up by long term tenets even the tents sites. Won't be back.
