Stargazers must visit! Full view of the milky way from horizon to horizon. I visited last week during a meteor shower and it was amazing.

Stayed one night on our way to Guadalupe NP. Spacious sites with power and water hookup. Great campground and would love to return and spend more time. The final chapter of Blood Meridian takes place at Fort Griffin 🙂

Campsite grounds and playground are in great shape and well maintained. Bathrooms are well maintained but dated. The fort was interesting to see for history buffs. Kids had a good time and want to go back to see more of the longhorns.

Very nice park to camp in. Lots of history, great small towns to explore, and the shoes are so big. Only negative is no cell service at all. Will definitely return.

Very interesting place alot of information if you like history you will love this place bring water with you if you walk the paths also they have camping available but we didn't visit that part

Such a great, peaceful place! As I understand, this is where Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday met. Plan on going there as often as I can.

The park is amazing we took our horses and it was very beautiful and free for veterans. The only downside side is the attendant inside the park station was VERY VERY EXTREMELY unfriendly and rude! She made us feel much as if we were bothering her and really very unwelcome for us to have brought horses .... my partner said there's usually a man that works there and that he is super kind, welcoming and friendly. Hopefully he'll be working the next time we go back. Otherwise, it's a great place to go and take your equines out for a nice, peaceful ride🐎

I loved this place. Great historical site and very cost friendly. As a veteran, I did not have to pay. I highly recommend visiting here!
